Puig really is a d**k!

what an excellent thread. everyone agreeing! where the hell is teo? hes a big pedrosa fan.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Haga @ Oct 10 2008, 01:57 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>As much as I have a big disliking for Nicky at the moment, Puig is pissing me off even more. He's ....... up Dani's career big time with these sort of rants, he needs to .... off and leave Peddy alone.

Pedrosa clearly has enough talent to win the title, all he needs is a Doohan or a Mamola as his manager and he'll be in the clear but instead he has a one time race winner who thinks he's king of the paddock.

Why do you dislike Nicky so much at the moment??? Is it because he's been doing better that Dani in the last few races and that he's get the heel out if the shitstorm that is HRC Repsol

I agree Dani has the talent to win the title, but not the balls. Winning a race here and there is good, but I can't see him ever winning the title

Most riders out there have the talent to win the title but have varying requirements for "luck"

Dani needs more than 1 rider to have a bad season to win a title - I think Vale and Casey depend on each other having a bad season, Dani would depend on Vale Casey probably Jorge and Nicki having a bad run as well.

It isn't going to be that easy for him, we saw Vale have a bad year last year and Casey had a crappy year this year - both at once though?

Isn't going to happen. Pedro ..... is going to be a bridesmaid but never the bride so to speak.

Spot on Andy, even if the two had a bad season at the same time as you said, there is still Jorge, Nicky and Dovi. I can see James winning the WC (satellite bike and all) before Dani

We knew all this while Puig bitching Nicky., reasons only Dani and Puig could only explain.
<

Maybe because Nicky is an American and won the 2006 championship. Wait next year to see if Dani boy is really a contender or just like another M.Melandry.

I just can't believe a so-called professional came out with comments like this, what was he thinking?
Did he really think that fans would agree and he'd make Nicky look bad, or did he just lose it and let his mouth run off?
He's clearly done Peders a lot of harm publicity wise.

I definitely agree Puig comments are out of order.

However, Now I am bit more worried about Ducati. I am worried because if anything he is saying is even remotely true then development and race to reace setting or total advancement of the Ducati next year is still on Casey's shoulders. It also means Nicky should do well on the Ducati so long as he follows Casey's lead which Marco and Loris could not due to their more traditional 250 riding styles.

Yes it is a mixed message for Nicky and Ducati in my view....

Regarding Puig overall....He needs to concentrate on Dani 'Biaggi' Pedrosa interest and stop trying to blame other for his inablity to win the title.

Lastly, Dovi is going to rule the garage and direction of HRC by mid-season next year. Dani will then be hunting for a new job in 2010.....and he will probaly end up at Suzuki or Kawasaki....

Hence the move for gibernau, perhaps, although sponsorship for a bike for him may have just become more difficult.

Hayden won the title for Repsol Honda and now Puig is talking this ........ about him?

with this comments Puig just show how less class he has.

Migs....if anything this might have helped Dovi out next year; I mean with Puig sticking his cheese in the wind, I can't help but think HRC is a little pissed.
I'm rooting for Dovi, this kind of .... should give him a better chance for equal treatment next year.

I think that Puig is well aware that he's far from popular amongst everyone else in the paddock as well as the fans, therefore says things that most other people wouldn't. He along with his little accomplice are in a hole that they are sinking further and further into...

Really hope Nicky destroys him next year, i reckon if he does heads will roll.

The Gibbers thing has gone quite...so it is probably not going to happen...

On a somewhat related topic.... http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/71189

"We need to test that bike again, because there is going to be a three-month period in which I can't test, and the technicians will need as much information as they can get."

I think Casey should let Nicky get on with it, and not risk further delay on operation.

Because of his ungratefulness to Honda and HRC. He's been on a full factory Honda for 5 years straight and very few people have spent that long on a bike that good. In those 5 seasons Nicky has only won 3 races, 2 at his home GP and one that was gifted to him by the Texas Tornado. In my opinion that doesn't give him the backing that he needs to disrespect Honda like he has this year.

He hasnt disrespected Honda though! He was practically given no choice to leave, they built a bike for Pedrosa despite him being champion in 06, they also lacked the balls to stand up to Pedrosa when he spat the dummy and all this while Hayden was working harder than anyone else in the Paddock. Honda disrespected Hayden and if they do the same with Dovi they will regret it because Pedrosa will never be world champ, unless he somehow grasps the ability to race against other riders!

Ungrateful?!?! Are you serious? I don't think I've ever heard a rider be as grateful and curteous to his ride the way he has, especially considering the treatment he has seen of late....this a quote shortly after his announcing his Ducati deal.

`We have been together for nine years and I am very grateful for the opportunity they gave me, all the way back to my dirt-track days,´ Hayden stated. `People are waiting for me to start running my mouth about things that went on within the team but I ain´t gonna be the crazy ex-girlfriend and start talking a bunch of trash! It has been great, I mean who wouldn´t have enjoyed spending nine years riding on factory Honda bikes. I have ridden on some great bikes and worked with some great people.´

I can't wait for Laguna & Indy now! I'm sure a few Hayden fans have read Puig's comments now, and I don't think they will take to kindly to him when he is seen in the US.

This time I'm saving my beer can to throw at Puig.
