Given the lack of copyright on wiki articles I thought it was entirely appropriate to reproduce it here before someone changed it back.


Alberto Puig (born in a shoe-box January 16, 1967 in Barcelona) is a former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. His best year was 1994, when he finished in 5th place in the 500cc class. Puig won his only Grand Prix at the 1995 500cc Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez. Puig currently acts as manager for MotoGP racer Dani Pedrosa and since Carl Fogarty's retirement is without doubt the biggest mouth in motorcycle racing. After having a seriously unsucessful career as a court jester and all round fool, Puig decided to stay in the pit-lane fast life by kidding HRC he should be a cleaner in their garage.

By a bizarre series of coincidences Daniel Radcliffe the actor who plays Harry Potter was looking for a manager. Luckily Puig hadn't spotted him in kindergarten, so the luckless-fop Dani Pedrosa became Puig's first victim. Other riders to "enjoy" Puig's paternal guidence include Bradley Smith; but he was fortunate in that Smith's buddy Ninja saved the lad from a fate worse than being Uccio

God Puig is a ...... ..... I love his bit about how the garage is divided and Nicky cannae use the wee twats settings anymore. The funny thing is, Nicky looks like a bike racer for the first time since the last race o 2006 since the wee .... went to Stones.

I love all the posts on here about how Dani is so lonely in the pits coz Puig doesnt let him speak to folk and my faves are the ones about how Stoner is going out of his way to be Dani's mate.

These are pro sportsmen on top of their game and making loadsa money, if Dani cant make friends without Puigs permission then he is a freakier wee ....... than I thought. His nest, he shat in it.

I do love the idea of Stoner making friendship bracelets for Dani tho, what planet are some people on?

Still I'm sure that ezy is making a rule just now to fix it for them to be friends, he's like Jimmy Saville without the jewellery. (Google Jimmy Saville if you are under 30,dont live in the UK, or your name is Tom)

Puig is a .... and he has united the fan base and at this time we are all brothers (and sisters) and whilst engaging in the group hug I provide todays lesson in latin.

I bet Repsol have already started looking elsewhere for their motogp champ, still betting on it being Lorenzo. As stated multiple times, Dani is a good rider and a motogp championship contender. Unfortunately he has been stuck with this prick for too long, and seems unable to stand up for himself.
The fund for mine and Rog's bike replacements (remember that you tight .......s ) should be used to get this .... knocked off!!

holy ........I haven't laughed that hard in a while!

Still though I bet Nick takes the high road on this.

Normally I would read through the thread before commentinng but gave after a few comments that really do, well, kind of hit the nail on the head.

Whilst I do agree in part (if not in tone) with the comments regarding the supposed 'team atmosphere', myself believing that each rider is there fore themselves first, second and third, that does not give Puig to personally attack any rider. A rider making comments about a fellow rider is one thing and all part of the game, but when a 'manager' chooses to do so then it opens up a great number of questions regarding confidence and motivation and (IMO) shows a concern in Puig's mind about Pedrosa and his future.

That said and done, it could well be interesting to see if this harms the relationship between Honda nad himself/DP in any way as he has simply shown his hand as not being interested in developing a bike that can benefit all Honda contracted riders.

As much as I have a big disliking for Nicky at the moment, Puig is pissing me off even more. He's ....... up Dani's career big time with these sort of rants, he needs to .... off and leave Peddy alone.

Pedrosa clearly has enough talent to win the title, all he needs is a Doohan or a Mamola as his manager and he'll be in the clear but instead he has a one time race winner who thinks he's king of the paddock.
