He said if the race was today then no way could he race.

I can see him racing but only just getting into the top ten if he makes it through the race.

Knowing this, I think Rossi will weather the pain to get ahead of Loris....I feel bad for both of them.....but these guys are tough moFo's....they might surprise us all....QP will tell.....

Hopefully it isn't, but how can they say "possible broken wrist"? He's either broken it or not. :s

no, the race will. don't put to much stock in qualifying. it's an indicator at best.

Hope he get's well soon!! Maybe would be better for his recovery not to race...but those points count for him...We'll have to see how he is tommorow!!

In the end he is in a worse condition then melandri...

Not quite what I meant Frosty...I mean that QP will be the final indicator on how much pain he will be in at racetime......as usual.....QP is only a means of determining grid placement...it says nothing about what will happen in a race....

no worries man...I wasn't real clear.....I bet he knows any points here would be great....if Loris doesn't race and Pedrosa and Stoner struggle, his pain could be worth it in closing the points gap.....

eehh he can ride with one hand and still beat most others..

Rossi can`t afford to miss the race, he knows that. If he sat this one out and Hayden wins, his championship campaign goes from a challenge to extremely difficult just like that. in the current states, Rossi still has a very good chance. But gifting 25 points to Hayden could be a championship losing manouver. I think he`s looking at Loris and saying, "well I ain`t as bad as him" and looking at Meladri and going "Aww, my poor Markie baby" then looking at himself, and thinking what`s always at the back of his mind: "Hey, I`m Rossi!" Rossi will be looking to take Loris' spot on the ladder at Assen. He`s still a superb racer with a lot of strength and determination, a poduim, or a win are still not out of the question. Men with worse injuries have done greater things in this sport.

I hope none of them have any more crashes anytime soon, that would be disastrous for their current conditions.

It's a shame because Hayden hasn't looked strong in both practice sessions, so this could have been a chance for Rossi to make up some good ground on him.

Qualifying today will give us a better idea as to how he is/they all are.

I agree, i would still not be surprised to see the doc on the top step.
