No. You know the two worst groups of trolls I have had to ban from my website? Rossi fans and Rossi haters/Australians (there is a lot of overlap between the two). Neither group is capable of rational discussion of the issues.

I am fully aware of the issues surrounding Rossi and his entourage. I have written extensively about it. What I haven't done is write "Rossi sucks donkey balls!" stories every two days, as you appear to want me to do. The bread and butter jibe is a cheap shot, and says more about your blind hatred of Rossi than my perspective on motorcycle racing.

I have been called anti Rossi and a Rossi fanboi, and the same for Stoner, Marquez, Lorenzo, I have even been attacked for defending Pedrosa. I try to represent things as fairly and objectively as I can, even things I do not agree with. If you don't like the job I do, then stop reading me. ....... simple.

As I have said in the past, and before you were both an anti- and pro- Marquez fanboi in addition to the other accomplishments you list, this is probably the best proof that you are at least trying to be fair minded (with some success imo) as I am sure you appreciate.

As an Australian who is also a Stoner fan, which would be the main component of the group to which you refer given Valentino is fairly certainly still more popular in Australia than Stoner or any other Australian riders including Doohan and Gardner, I doubt many started with any animus towards Rossi, but some were rather dismayed by the extreme vitriol Stoner copped which from my point of view preceded any backlash against Rossi. It remains foolish to question Rossi's quality as a rider imo though.

Weak. I have been to plenty of PI gps. Rossi is as popular here as anywhere. When I watched Rossi ride I was fully in awe of him. What's not to like about grown men risking life for entertainment. He does not get spat on. He does not get so much as a boo.

I get ....... tired of any criticism of Rossi labelled hater. I care far more about the sport than Rossi. I wouldn't waste a single minute of my life with something as futile as hating Rossi. I hate the idea Rossi is greater than the sport. Don't try and lump me in with those fuckwits who camp outside MMs garage, or those fuckwits who spit and boo at Stoner or any other rider. If you can't be bothered responding as we all know, that Rossi holds too much power and influence, as in the next meeting with uncle Ezzy let's ban that pesky Krop journo, fine. I'm not about to go to work tomorrow and tell everyone exactly what I really think of them. I get it a certain amount of diplomacy is required.

I sometimes think people don't read what I write. Which is fine. If written exhaustively and a length about how much power Rossi holds in the paddock. But it doesn't fit the narrative - I don't publish hit pieces on Rossi every week, therefore I am in Ezpeleta's pocket.

The reason I don't publish hit pieces on Rossi every week is

1. He doesn't deserve it every week. When he does (e.g. post Valencia) he gets it in the neck.

2. It would be ....... boring.

Powerslide is awash with hater ..... Engulfed in it. There's a good balance - all of the riders have equal amount of poo flung at them by the monkeys - but this place is positively fueled by hater .....

Just because the current majority of posters here don't accept the narratives as easily as the other 98% of the MotoGP fanbase, doesn't make us haters. And I'd say, for a guy so convinced this place is awash in it, you certainly read plenty of what is written here, so it must not be that bad.

You know , when it comes to the subject of Rossi, almost everything I post is basic statistics to debunk the fantasy world Rossi fans live in. If basic truth and factual statistics make me hater, so be it.Sorry your feelings got hurt, and like I said, I enjoy the majority of your stuff .While you dont carry Rossii"s water as often as say Oxley, MCN, or Crash, you are very careful not to piss off the "horde" and I understand that. Im glad my income doesn't depend on sucking up to a majority , I would be a poor man.

Firstly, you only post statistics to debunk the fantasy world Rossi fans live in. You do not post statistics putting the careers of Casey Stoner, Marc Marquez, Jorge Lorenzo, Dani Pedrosa, Cal Crutchlow, Pol Espargaro, Danilo Petrucci and Yonny Hernandez into perspective. We call that bias.

Actually, the statistics I use put Stoners, Lorenzo's, Marquez, Pedrosa's careers into perspective quite well since they are the riders most often used to debunk a fantasy. That anyone would use the word bias when defending bias the press has towards Rossi is comical.As far as Cal, Pol, etc etc, you need relevant stats to be in the conversation, they don't.

Well, it's all very simple. Its a solution they came up with after lengthy deliberation and consideration over several several long minutes. You see, Dorna are proving they are not influenced by disgruntled fans by reacting to disgruntled fans. Mike Webb who was in the previous Race Direction will now be on the new Race Direction. And...voila New Race Direction. Ya see?

Interesting .............. one moment people are unhappy because the decision at Sepang was not punitive enough and so there were calls for RD to be removed/replaced


So they remove/replace RD being the sole arbitor of these decisions to punish riders and yet we are still not happy.

One moment there are calls to change the system, which is changed but because it is not changed to our liking (ie. one that will ensure the likes of VR are placed in purgatory and burned at the stake) thence the change is wrong.


The FIM are trying something different.

A panel of stewards will remove any claimed bias from a single person (just as people wanted) as it is harder to get 3 people to agree than it is a single person

Yes, suspicions abound as to the timing and no doubt (IMO) if we had not had the season's finish that we did, the world would have continued unchanged but really, how about we let things happen before we decide that no matter who is put in the stewards bin is an incompetent dweeb with no qualifications
