The closest city is Melbourne, Its about a ninety mile drive south and round.

I live about 25 minutes drive from the circuit.

Weather for first practice Friday is freakin hot and 38°C
Saturday is 24°C and Sunday is 23°C both days with a chance of a shower or two.

As far as time zone Curve. I can tell you that Indianapolis is 16 hours behind Melbourne and from memory you are in Texas - Yes? If so Dallas is 17 hours behind Melbourne.

Me and the wife have an all access pass for the weekend. Will try to post some shots if I don't screw em up.

10 minute phone interview with Spies.

I really hope Spies stays in WSBK. The guy definitely has GP talent, but GP is tailored to very specific types of riders. I don't know that he fits the 800cc mold.

I'd much rather see him notch a hat trick of WSBK titles than see him struggle to obtain equipment and sponsorship in GP (unless GP goes back to 990cc).

Still pretty early to tell whats going to happen, especially with some up and down performaces from morning to afternoon. Suzuki look alright, and i still believe Spies and the factory Ducatis will be there. The rest remain a mystery.
