nice work mary...we (rossi fans) need to find an outlet of frustration...one has been drinking, you're into writing...hmmm..wondder what I'll do...

Suicide works good.. the ground is looking pretty good from my 21st floor apartment right now

(of course Im kidding but still sucks)

Katt!!!! You wouldn't ever let up on that idea, would you?

dw, as of the writing, I'm having a bargain with my uncle about that flowerhorn.

My consolation was watching him on Italian telly last night. There were cameras around his motorhome and hundreds and hundreds of people hanging around waiting for an autograph. He came out and signed dozens of shirts and joked around with his fans (though maybe not in his usual high spirits) before heading off to dinner.
I don't understand why some people are writing him off. Like someone said, if he has problems next year they won't be over the loss of the title. He said he preferred to think of himself as unbeatable in the 990cc, but that only happens to superheroes in comics after all. Awwww

Spot on Bikergirl, I think writing off Rossi for next season would be a critical error for anyone involved. I´ve said myself we may see a different Rossi and I don´t know if it will be better or worse but there is no counting out The Doctor.

you cant write him off just cause he had a bad day. to me he is the only guy with the most fighting spirit, and this year is a great example of that.

Writing Vale off is pure madness. He had 1 season with issues. For goodness sakes he crashed out of how many races this season?

Very unlike him.

Trust me...HE WILL BE THEEE DOMINANT RACER AGAIN NEXT SEASON.
If Yamaha gets their bike running properly. I have no doubts that Yamaha will have the same issues all the other teams will have.

Next season will be more of the same with everone chasing Vale in the points. It will be crowded at the front next year. I can't wait.

Ain't writing him off but he had to deal with a much stronger and confident opponent next year such as Dani
<
, a more confident Nicky, older but getting stronger Loris and perhaps Toni Elias as well.

1 season with MAJOR issues and 5 points off the win! hes the true world champion people wil forget hayden =]

Elias!?!??!

Surely you meant Melandri?!
Estoril was a flash in the pan. A moment of desperation to get himself a ride for next year. Don't see him being one of the top players next year.
Melandri now....he's had a ..... year too, but before this season started I thought he'd be the one seriously challenging Vale. Pity he breaks out in a rash every time he knows The Doctor is behind him!

I'd wager Nicky's fans won't be forgetting him anytime soon

Rossi has proven that he could both win and lose gracefully to be honest this experince has made me like the man even more. He's a class act and sets the example for every pro-athlete in the world. It would be a surprise just like it was this season if he's not the champion in 2007.

I must admit, 2006 showed a side of the doctor no-one's really seen before: The loser. I know that sounds really offensive, but I didn't mean it like that. Rossi has shown what he's like when he's not winning, and he didn't have a dummy spit, he didn't whinge, he took it like a man. I remember sometime during the season, when Rossi was looking like a beat man for the first time in his career, Skid said "We'll see if he's as tough as Doohan now" Well, even though he's not champion, I belived he's really proved himself and gained some respect, from where I stand anyway.
