Losail – Drona as a party organizer of the MotoGP race will predict the time series premiere this season, MotoGP Qatar, after a disputed race.

In the last test session in Losail, a number of incidents occurred in the Corner 2. This worry is due to moisture on the track because the race were played at night.

Time for class MotoGP race in Qatar, is currently scheduled at 23:00 local time, or early morning at 03:00 hrs. To eliminate the chance of incidents again, Valentino Rossi and Loris Capirossi also requested that the race time promoted.

“I’ve heard from the drivers and we decided to review the situation after arriving in Qatar. Four this past weekend might have changed the weather situation in Losail and eliminate the problem.”

“We’ll see whether time has been scheduled for the track will be too moist or it is still possible to run it (as scheduled) secure,” explained CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta at the Autosport Drona.

Meanwhile, in Italy have been circulating the news that the Qatar MotoGP race time can be moved forward two hours. Ezpeleta itself affirmed there would be no problem if the race will really have to start faster.

“I’ve made some phone calls to hear the reaction from the TV (the publisher’s races) and there would not be much problem for rescheduling,” said he.

Tech 3 Yamaha rider Colin Edwards meanwhile admitted it was not disputed race time. According to him, the problem is not really serious, very serious.

However, with half-jokingly, Edwards was pretty sure that the race is likely to change the schedule because the request is Rossi.

“Usually Valentino getting what he wants,” straightforward rider nicknamed the Texas Tornado.

Last season, the race at Losail is also disturbed by the weather. Due to rain, the race should be postponed after a delay of several moments.

wonder if there's been a BIG fallout..Circuit..TV Rights issues..Riders..??????

MotoGP Qatar Start Time Change?
Wednesday, April 07, 2010
Valentino Rossi is testing the limits of his Fiat Yamaha M1.
Rossi has been vocal about wanting the MotoGP race in Qatar to start earlier for safety reasons.
In breaking MotoGP news, it looks as if Dorna could change the scheduled start time of the upcoming opening round of the 2010 World Championship in Qatar this weekend following requests from the Riders Safety Commission.

Reigning World Champion Valentino Rossi and veteran GP rider Loris Capirossi, who will make his record 300th Grand Prix start this weekend, talked to Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta about possibly moving the Qatar race to an earlier time in the evening, aiming to avoid condensation on the track surface, which typically comes with the late night humidity.

Several riders fell in the final preseason night test at Losail, including Casey Stoner and Ben Spies, among others, causing concern about the late night runtime of the event. Nearly all of them fell in Turn 2 and cited slippery conditions as the cause. This prompted the Rider’s Commission to request a change in race time, of which both Rossi and Capirossi were supporters.

“I’ve heard from the riders, and we’ve decided to look at the situation once in Qatar,” said Ezpeleta after the meeting. “These four weeks may have changed the weather situation at Losail and got rid of the problem. We’ll see whether it’s too damp at the scheduled time or if it’s possible to run safely. I’ve made a round of phone calls to hear from the TV stations and there shouldn’t be too much of a problem in case of a reschedule.”

If this is true it really really sucks.

This doesn't add up. Why would a random circuit official be in a position to tell somoene at the circuit gates a day before the event starts that it is cancelled before any offcial announcement has been made? I suspect somewere there is a misunderstanding or someone has been misinformed.

THIS IS WRONG.
