Ducati should be proud. Instead of giving Stoner a bike that suits they have catered to the mid packers and given Stoner a mid pack bike. Hope he pens the deal with HRC asap.

Looks like Rossi has cracked under the pressure. That yellow chair must have got to him!!!

Mari, Vale crashed during practice broking his tibia. He looked to be in so much pain when they were placing him on the stretcher earlier.

oh good, first the shoulder and now one more injury...

I think one injury produced another -- he crashed in a right-left "S" that of course stresses the damaged right shoulder a lot.

Anyway, one sure consequence is that now we'll have more idios speaking about Rossi cracking under pressure, and basically gloating over it.

Crashes have always been and are part of racing, and this could be a turning point of the championship.

We all said a close championship with 3 or 4 possible winners is won basically by the rider who manages to stay consistently among the fastest and stay healthy, and at the moment that's Lorenzo.

Stoner is still in a limbo, and unless Stoner can sort out his problems, this looks like Lorenzo's Mugello for now. I doubt, even if Rossi has not broken anything and manages to qualify and race, that he'll be at the top after such a crash.

Apparently Rossi is ruled out of the race.

So this could be the end of the 2010 championship for Rossi.

Not only that, there is also Yamaha's "internal" championship, so to speak. This crash comes at the exact moment in which Yamaha and Rossi had to take a final decision regarding his contract.... He was planning to close the negotiation as a triumphant winner of Mugello 2010, now his position is very different and symmetrically Lorenzo's is now much, much stronger.

This will make Rossi's options tip even more in F1's direction, imho.

and i've read there is a strong possibility he is to miss a lot of races..six as ive read. Dang

Ouch!!! Broken shin bone! That must hurt like a motherfuck!!!! Poor vale! Well I guess now it's up to dani to stop Jorge!

This also sucks for jorges championship run because if he does win the chamionship all the boppers will blame it on this injury! And say he doesn't deserve it

yeah, i reckon. esp since a lot of people have already been hailing Jorge as the new world champion.

1 Horse Championship..

Reigning seven time MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi has been ruled out of the remainder of his home Italian MotoGP after being diagnosed with a fractured right shinbone.

Rossi suffered a big highside in Saturday morning practice and with three races this month - and six races between now and July 25, when the summer break begins - the injury is also a monumental blow to Rossi's hopes of winning a tenth world title in 2010.

The #46 has never previously missed a race, since his 1996 grand prix debut in the 125cc class.

TAKEN DOWN BY DORNA

Fiat Yamaha Team

Valentino Rossi has suffered a displaced and exposed fracture of his right tibia after crashing in practice for the Italian Grand Prix in Mugello this morning. Further information will be made public as soon as a more detailed examination has been completed.

To all those who have enjoyed bashing Stoner so much in the last two years, does it hurt to see Rossi 'crack under the pressure' and being 'mentally weak'? I would think it probably does.

In all seriousness though, this is all a bit Doohan and Criville. Mitakes of this nature are rare but it goes to show how hard Rossi has been pushing to re-assert himself in his team. With stoner's rotten start to the season this could have big implications for the championship.

800CC to much corner speed

and how good are the stoners these days.they don't have any competition to keep them on there's toes pushing forward with development
