I don't think it was anything major. He was just unable to run a hot lap until the very last lap due to all the traffic. He was outside the top 10 until then. The traffic is horrific out there. Someone could get hurt bad with that many bikes out there at once. Maybe they need to split practice and quali into an A and B group. I sure wouldn't want to take bikes off the grid over it.
There should be some great racing in moto2 around Mugello!

Maybe. But he's never been good at Mugello so you should take that into account here.

FACT -
Stoner - Took not the best bike & beat the .... out of everyone including rossi with setting records along the way being given nothing except some new rubber. What makes it more evident is the fact he was the only one who could ride it!!
Rossi - Speaks Fot itself
Lorenzo - Has fell out with evey team mate he has ever had. 250 couldnt beat Pedrosa when on the all conquering Aprillia & when he didint win or get his way he would throw things around in the garage & lock himslef in so nobody could do anything - ....... ......
He has done nothing in gp's apart from win some races & try to be someone he is not.
Anyone who has a go at Jorge saying he is self centred & arrogant has got it wrong, especially as Vale is the king of that stuff, my problem with him is that he seems to think he is gods gift to the planet when he has been given everything in motogp & other top rider have had to struggle on lesser equipment. I wonder how many of the riders on the grid would trade in vital organs & body parts to get their grubby mits on a bike produced by Burgess.
You seem to be yet another glory hunter!! Some of us have been watching it for years before rossi was around & will still be watching after he has gone.
I watch gp's for the racing not for a particular rider. 2003, 2005 & 2007 were the most boring seasons ive seen since the 90's era when Doohan was busy anhialating the grid. 2006 was one of the best even though Rossi did bin it.
Moral of story - Just watch & hope for good close racing not a f1 type processions.

1 Lorenzo ...so strong that nobody seems to be able to stop him even vale was failing at it
2 Stoner ...he was very happy so i think he is confident for the race
2 Dani ...will drop to 3rd after lorenzo put pressure on him
4 Nicky ...getting better every race , now that i don't have a front runner to root for i have all my hopes on him to breach into the alien's territory goo 69!!

Lorenzo only raced against Pedrosa for 1 season on 250's, which happened to be his rookie year riding for Fortuna Honda and not APRILLA. You expect him to beat Pedrosa his rookie year? Get real dude, you dont know .... POSER

well better than the crap he has had for 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Hopefully he will get more podiums if he in in the top 4 all the time like in the old days on the 990.....and maybe a win or 3 would be nice!!

Hayden could be on the podium tomorrow with the unfortunate injury to Rossi, depends on if they get the Duc over the bumps....it's not looking too good right now, both Nick and Casey are saying they don't have the race pace....or are they playing mind games????
Sucks to have Rossi out, but after so many years, he's gotta be thankful that nothing major has happened until now. Hope he can recover and come back strong, he's missing out on the best competition he has ever had. Lorenzo's now got his chance, play it smart and start racking up the points.
With Rossi out the race, my crystal ball says the race will come down like this:
Pedrosa will get the holeshot but will be passed by Lorenzo, who will then start to check out. Pedrosa, will lack the longevity in the race to keep good lap times. This will allow Stoner to pass him. Lorenzo has a big moment but stays on the bike, but Stoner is able to catch him, this will provide for an amazing last few laps battle between Lorenzo and Stoner. Lorenzo will triumph in the end. Meanwhile, Hayden will have moved pass Pedrosa bagging his first podium of the year.
