I'm aware when it was and the background story. But thanks.
I saw it more as trying to show it as support and respect for an injured teammate and rival. Not surprised that others see it differently, just disappointed.

I prefer to think of it more as Nicky thinking about the well-being of a fellow competitor, and deciding to save him from another lap in rain-slicked conditions. Such magnanimity on the part of Nicky is the sign of true sportsmanship.
