Hi All,

I need some help - what are some sportsmanship moments in the MotoGP that you can think of?

Long story short: I've started studying bachelor of social work this year and one of the units is pretty much about intro to uni (involving how to study successsfully, using the online library etc etc). one of the assignments is to create either a powerpoint slide or video of anything at all to demonstrate your use of technology. While its not a hard assignment I wanted to get creative and had some fun with the last video i did (of Rossi and Simoncelli - 170k+ views so far which isnt big for youtube but its huge for me considering a random video i made once got 40 views haha)

i cant use that video (my lecturer has already seen it lol) so am wanting to create a video montage of sportsmanship moments in the motogp

Can be anything from somber moments (eg tributes after simoncelli and even lois shalom's death) or on track moments such as when pedrosa ran to dovi after the crash

im only familiar with a few moments in recent years so would be good to hear what others think of :)

When Dani ran back to see if the rider he crashed out was ok. Can't remember the details, but last year methinks.

Ok Shaunna I have some:

Danilo Petrucci et al. practically dismounting to let Rossi through at Valencia 2015?

Iannone's tribute to the slain Philip Island seagull?

Hector Barbera gracefully allowing riders to go first during qualifying?

Cal Crutchlow offering to test the integrity of the air fences at every round?

The paddock can be an intense and pressurised environment - but I think you should acknowledge that one rider is always eager to offer some welcome comic relief..

Or WSB? -

John Kocinski lending his vacuum cleaner to Aaron Slight to hoover his motorhome? (I concede - unlikely to find that on You Tube).

Anthony Gobert assisting pensioners with their shopping at a Surfers Paradise supermarket in 2008?

This isn't helping much is it?

Mick Doohan's "highly competitive" and truly.philanthopic loans?

Assen 2006, Colin Edwards gets off his bike to let Nicky win ;)

Sepang 2015, Rossi while in feirce battle for position spotted that his opponents motorcycle had rear suspension failure with hydraulic oil spilling out dangerously all over his back tyre. Rossi's razor sharp reflexes and evasive action had him slow his opponent down in a safe slow corner and kick him safely off the bike, saving his opponent from a dangerous and potentially fatal accident.

That was so honourable ....... especially since rossi himself had sprung that same oponent, in a dark alley the night before , plotting to help rossis main rival

What a hero.

1992, when Kevin Schwantz crashed out at Donington GP, then grabbed a marshal’s oil flag to warn others of the oil spillage that had brought him down.

WSBK Phillip Island 2013. Melandri rushing to Checa's aid after their crash.

Stoner's response when 10 fingers became 9 1/2 fingers at PI so that the World Championship was then decided before the race (there was footage of CS heading to the medical centre when he heard). To be fair, this is not uncommon but I recall seeing this one on the coverage.

There have been a few cases of riders checking or helping others after crashes - Hayden rings a bell here for a reason

Who was it who landed on Hayden himself during a crash at Saschenring (think it was) and then couldn't stop apologising?

Mick Doohan - Eastern Creek - in the pits - educating Criville on how to ride and what to expect in a hard race .......... oh the bygone days.

The many times that riders have picked up a fallen rider and bought them back to the pits - Baz has done it recently but been done a few times

DORNA for ensuring that we have a level playing field <insert sarcasm meter here>

Fogarty for always voting Fogarty as the best rider of the year

r
Hayden highsided in a wet practice at Sachsenring and did a flying WWF bodycheck on Canepa.

That'd be the one

Knew that Hayden was involved .......... and there was a lot of apologising and so on which may fit Shauna's request.

Thanks for that Arrib

Thanks a lot gents appreciate the help :)

and for the smart arses I appreciate your comments too as the laugh is a welcome distraction from uni work haha

Sorry I know it's too late for your video, which is very good by the way, but what about this classy moment from George??
