Hey,

Need some help all,

I am considering purchasing the Premium Pay per view package for 36 Euro which will give me coverage to all videos and races throughout the 2006 season.

Here is the List

Has anyone done this before and do you get full commentry etc etc??

Cheers

I did it last year for the second half of the season and I am seriously thinking about signing on again for this year. You get access to everything. Some of the sessions don't have commentary but the race does and I believe qualifying does as well, I could be wrong about that. Doctor knows all about it, he is an avid motogp.com member.

It would be useful to get your view and lowdown Doctor as I only have a 1Mb connection and wonder if there will be any serious lag to the streaming.

Cheers Ooost

I just signed up for the 2006 Premium Package because I miss all the FP and Quali so much. There is no commentary on FPs.

Ditto I decided to take the plunge too..

only works out to be £25 for me for the whole season.

Loads of interviews to trawl through and looked at a full race from Valencia last year, even have the theme music hehe but never hear any commentry??? quality is not bad but the media player window is fairly small and looks like its been limited for that reason, as I guess it would look pixally and nasty if full screen.

Still its better than nothing so I shall watching the qualifying on here at home and Eurosport come race day.

Agreed, main reason I got it was for interviews and quali and the races when I can't make it back to my folks house where Speed TV is available.

I change my Resi to enable me to get full screen, not bad but slightly grainy.

Dont know who the commentry team is though, no Ryder or Moody but still does the Job.

Glad I signed up.

I used to know, I wanna say Nick Harris but I'm not sure that's right. One of the guys names is Nick.

nick harris is right Ooost. he's been doing the commentary for a long time. back to at least 98. the other announcers change every couple of season's or so it seems.

A word of caution. I signed up for this years entire season. I've enjoyed the pre-season videos etc and the site has been fine. However, 2 minutes before the start of the MotoGP today, I lost the live video feed. I tried franticly to reconnect, but I either couldn't even access the site at all, or it wouldn't accept my login. So, I payed 32 Euros to watch it live, and couldn't. The earliest I could get back on the site was 10 minutes after the race finished.

I tried sending them an email during the race, but that section of the site was also dead.

From other forums, I know many others were having similar problems.

I'll send some feedback when (if) I hear back from MotoGP.com

Cheers,

Mark

Cheers and welcome, I watched the race live on Eurosport so cannot comment on that.

Hopefully they wil give u and explanation as to why the live feed barfed out.

Cheers

Thats for the heads up, I had similar issues at certain rounds in 2005 although today watched tape delayed on Speed so I could enjoy it on a big screen.

I was considering signing up too but not if the site can't properly handle the volume of traffic.

I would be enraged if I paid that much and missed the entire race.

Well I tuned in and watched the 125 race b4 heading out to watch it on Eurosport without any problems..

I guess it depends on your ISP and where u r located.

yea sometimes they seem to have issues with service. that happened to me last year once, but for the most part their pretty good.

Does anyone have an email address where I can complain to MotoGP.com? I've left messages on their "Contact Us" page, but am getting nowhere.

I really do feel quite strongly about this, as I mainly paid my 32 euros to be able to watch the races live on Broadband.

If I get no response from them, looks like it's blog time again!

Cheers,

Mark

i never miss an opportunity to say this... the motogp commentators are just fantastic. Nick harris is the excitable one... he's got a great tone to his voice. i have a clip of the last lap battle in jerez 2005, the fight was a treat to watch, but the commentary made it even better. matthew roberts is the more laidback guy... it's a good combination!

Did you check their Technical support Department ?

Maybe Ben knows a contact there.
