I agree with your sentiments. The circuit management have had some seriously high profile fails and their awful attitude has shown through as one of the worst fan friendly places I have ever heard. The word will get out, they are not doing themselves any favors. Motorcycling community is for the most part a practical and frugal sense bunch. They will be forced to make concessions or their attendance will drop off dramatically. It really is a shame the bilking they have engaging in, all things considered. I'm balls deep into the trip, and at this point, no return. We have a large group so the costs will be split and this way mitigated. I wouldn't put it past the circuit to institute a maximum per vehicle restriction. I plan on having a great time, as we will be with 30 plus friends, and a couple of new ones we will meet. This may also be the last time I go. All things considered, its still probably cheaper than going to a European round for me.
Mondodoncha, welcome. Thanks for the tip.
Ok, so incase anybody is still in denial, COTA policy: No shuttle service! No walk-ins! Will need parking pass! Oh, and NO SINGLE DAY TICKETS!

<ul>[]EDIT: When I posted this at 11:45am, as you can see from the quote above, parking passes were still available. As of right now, they are NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
[]EDIT #2: Just spoke to LeviG, based on a phone conversation he had, "advanced passes" will be available in town for $70. (or pay the $30 per day in Lot-F).

At this point I'm staying home. Its great that some of you can afford the extra expense of being ripped off by COTA's parking rates, but I'm not one of those people. I did, however, have a plan that had a friend dropping me off at the track each day so I thought I had a solution. Unfortunately, after reading a post on another site and then contacting COTA this morning I foind out that they will not allow entrance to the track to any pedestrians whether they have a ticket or not. WTF! Obviously they are forcing fans to pay their parking rates or forcing them to use taxis and then charge the taxis a license fee of some kind to operate at the track apparently. Well COTA can take their track and shove it. I'm sure all of you that are going will have a lot of fun and the track looks awesome, but I refuse to give any more money to an organization that has so little regard for people, especially in these hard economic times.
