I've just read in comments on motomatters that Livio Suppo has already suggested allowing one engine upgrade per season, I think they should allow it.

You dont know much about Honda engineering do you? While they have had a few engine failure, it is no where near yamaha. I sure hope Honda says NO & tell them to drop their RPM. So keep dreaming about safety. Had they dumped oil in the warm up & race, then there COULD be a safety issue.

If Honda's engineering was so perfect they wouldn't have acceleration problems.

Honda isn't immune to potentially having an engine design flaw they may need to fix for safety. All I'm saying is denying Yamaha means they shouldn't even bother to ask if they ever find themselves in a similar situation. I don't really care what they say or do. Yamaha may not even need to break any engine seals for all we know.

Im sure Yamaha would try and come up with a scenario where it was related to safety, but twisting the engine to hard and wrecking the valve train is not a safety issue, its a reliability issue. If allowed under the guise of safety, this is exactly the type thing that doesnt allow some of us to trust Dorna when it comes to Rossi and millions of dollars.

Whatever did happen to the Honda telemetry that was so prominently mentioned in the imposition of the penalty on Rossi? Seems to have disappeared!

Honda were instructed by Dorna not to release it, to which they were probably happy to accede because I suspect they were reluctantly supporting/appeasing MM in the first place, not that any telemetry or lack thereof can change Rossi's culpability in the incident in any case of course.

MM, the youngest party in all of this if you discount the mental age of some of Rossi's followers, appears to be the one who has moved on best, although I also quite like the way all the brouhaha appears to have upped Lorenzo's motivation/steely determination even further.

Cairns is North Queensland barry pointed out is about 4000k away. Next year downhill mtb world championships are there.

Honda and Yamaha begging to be given some slack from their own self-imposed engine rule? Wow, this is great. The Ducati desmo is looking better and better -- the most powerful, manageable, and possibly even the most reliable engine in MotoGP. Wow.
