JP - 100% in agreement. Rossi did it to himself. It wasn't his riding that lost him the championship. It was his hubris and his big mouth; he bought into the fan generated legend of his ability to play mind games. I think a younger Rossi would have handled it better. If he'd had humility and not jumped into the Ducati debacle - he'd have had a legit 10th championship by now. This year will go down as one of the greatest ....-ups in the history of the sport.

The good thing is that the further we get away from 2015, the easier it will be to tell the story of what Rossi really did to lose the title IMO.

Just like it's easier to tell the real narrative of his career as we move further and further away from the prime period because the Bopper memory isn't that long.

Jorge deserves to be a champion. Congratulations to him. Did MM help him? He was just careful not to mess with the title contender like Rossi warned.

Actually, Rossi would not have won even without any penalty. He didn't have the pace for a podium challenge. The only way he could have win the title today without penalty is to kick Pedrosa and Marquez out of the race.

This race just proves the suspicions were 100% correct.

Stoner-Rossi was kids go-kart race compared to MM-VR in Sepang, 14 passes, 9 on 1 lap alone, and this for 3rd place 4 laps into a 22 lap race. Please don't try and compare and use Stoner's whining as a reason to hate VR. The cynic in me even thinks he would have torpedo'd him on purpose at some point and this is what VR probably was thinking as well during Sepang.

Oh, an please remind everyone here again how many championships he's won? While you're at it, how many races has he won? And also please post how many championships you've won, your number of race wins?

No it doesn't prove Rossi's original suspicion was completely correct.

And how did the Sepang battle compare to Jerez 2005? Motegi 2010?

Did you watch the race?

Did you watch the PI race?. The first time I mean, not after Valentino's re-interpretation. I was going to call his interpretation of events at PI self-serving, till it occurred to me that those remarks turned out to be exactly the opposite for him. Has it occurred to you that MM may have been by his own standards trying not to interfere with the contenders at PI whilst still winning the race as he is paid to do? He didn't put any particularly hard passes on anyone at that race.

This is an idiotic argument.

For the record. Exactly zero race wins. But I had some crappy plastic trophies for places. Which I think I threw out.
So based on that, please tell me you have a shedload so I can defer to your opinions.

Marquez has crashed out several times this year while pushing hard, citing problems with the bike all year. Maybe he wanted to take it relatively easy to lower the likelihood of another lowside?

I agree with you Stoner has nothing to do with current or recent events, but Rossi raced him at LS 08 exactly as MM did Rossi at Sepang, in different circumstances perhaps, and it was rather more definite that Stoner had superior whole lap pace there.

lol...It's there to make a point. I'm not the one who's undermining and trying to de-legitimize VR's career based on one second of a single race our of over 325 races like all the Rossi haters here. And for the record I don't race, never have never will.

Nothing compares with Sepang, it was racing to the extreme.....for 3rd place. You know this already, but thanks for trying.

You mean in a similar fashion to Valentino attempting to, and probably succeeding in, de-legitimising any title Jorge might win this year as you are currently illustrating.

You can't know that. Rossi had great pace and was totally focused. When speculating, even reasonably - one has to consider a raft of possibilities. It is in any event over.

You got called out on a crapulent comment and a weak as piss argument.
If that's what you meant, you should have typed it, rather than posting an embarrassing "justification".
Your guy lost. You're upset. That"s understandable. You don't need to make yourself look like a ......, too.

In 2010 Rossi fought Lorenzo, his teammate, for 3rd in Motegi, while the championship was still in question. Rossi was not in contention for the title. Things got rough anyway.

You're welcome :)

He is going to regret Sepang...

It proofs indeed that all riders let Rossi pass. That's what Rossi wants. What Petrucci and Doviozioso did. On the other hand, he wants all riders to battle till death with Lorenzo.

And that is why he defended JLo from Pedrosa so aggressively, to the point Pedrosa backed off to never try again?

Anyway, Rossi isn't within the 3 fastest riders of the year. The others made many silly mistakes this year. Without it Rossi would never been title contender. I know consistency is part of the game, but I just have the feeling Rossi didn't deserve the title anyway. I even doubt whether he is faster than Ianone.

I didn't have to type it out, it should have been obvious to anyone with 1/2 a brain what that comment implied. Reading between the lines is a requirement on faceless forums. It's understandable if you and some others lack this.
