zJust watched the pre-event press conference. I would like to thank Mr. Noyes for asking a great question. Most of the time journals ask .... question, leaving me to wonder what the .... have these guys been smoking or...are they that unsophisticated to ask great questions? Mr. Noyes asked about a rule that GP toyed with regarding discarding one bad result when calculating the year end classification points. Given the hazard of the championship, the idea being if one bad result is discarded, perhaps this would be a better way of deeming the worthiness of the final title winner. Its a great question with much to debate and consider, given that we usually debate the "what ifs" and "lucky" title contention. Great responses by the riders too.
Oh come on Cal. Dude, your doing so good, 3 podiums, pole, etc. But ur mouth is going to get me in trouble with my Brit family.
Crutchlow, can somebody explain to me why he took exception to Lorenzo riding with a broken but somewhat repaired collar bone, especially given he rode with a broken ankle at Silverstone? WTF. Yeah yeah, I get that rider's health is important, especially the safety of himself and others on the track and bla bla bla, but Lorenzo was submitted to a medical test to see if he could ride, was he not? And, the fact he performed so well proves in a sense that the medical staff were correct in giving him the 'all clear' to race! Also, Marquez raced with broken bones as well, highlighting the fact not all broken bones are created equal.
I should like this guy, .... I know I should, as I would feel so much better about myself; but the .... he says, sorry friends. Ok, maybe his 'intention' is well grounded? .... I don't know, given the fact what is good for him doesn't seem to be good for others (1. this point here 2. who "deserves" promotions into the series). So he was ok with racing because he felt the pressure of riding at his home GP (after crashing on cold tires) but it wasn't ok for Lorenzo, championship contender, to race with a broken bone that was subjected to a medical review? I think if he is going to take a stand here, then he should immediately return the point he earned at Silverstone while racing with a broken bone, then Dorna should crown Karl Abraham rookie of the year.... My cynical side thinks he may feel he got shafted out of a 2nd place because he, in his mind, thinks it took so long to pass Lorenzo, perhaps feeling he had to ..... foot around given Jorge's injury? He probably thinks Lorenzo held him up costing him time to pass Marquez, as if this kid was going to get out of his way (or as earlier in the season he said he let Pedrosa have the 2nd). Ironically the most dangerous moment in that race didnt come from Jorge, but rather Cal when he almost murdered (actually touched) Marquez. Ah the irony. Yeah it was all funny in the post race press conference when he joked about the incident, because by the grace of god, nobody crashed and...broke bones. Oh but a couple millimeters more and he'd been awarded torpedo of the year, not MurderMac. I think he may have a skewed sense, but then that is me and my personal perhaps misplaced bias, as he has been rubbing me wrong this year. THE .... about it is this was by far Cals best race performance, and clearly shows what a talent he is, AND deserving of factory support. .... it, I accept any shellacking coming my way. Lil Red, feel free to sock me in the mouth when u see me. Ok, he will need somebody to defend him on this one. Whats the deal?
