You don't think Nick can ride the LCR better than Bradl?


 


It doens't really matter anyway b/c Bradl has re-signed. I doubt a production racer will be podium worthy, and I doubt Honda NA will pay for it. Could be wrong on both counts, though.

Bradl has been on the podium this year, with several 4th and 5th place finishes, and was fastest today in practice.  surely Nicky is as good if not better then Bradl, why would anyone not expect similar (if not better) results with nicky on the bike?  either way, its still a better bike then the ducati.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. It's obviously way down on power compared to the factory effort , probably turns a lot better though
 
It seems a measure of Farquez that his not dominating every session raises an eyebrow.

Yes if he were on the prototype LCR. But Nicky is linked to the "production racer", that is basically the CRT version that Brian Starring is riding MINUS the two years of development to get it where it is now (20th place).

Hollywood, Nicky has for all intents and purposes matched Rossi and Dovi in terms of pace. Both men were top finishers when they were on decent bikes. There is absolutely no reason to believe Nicky is as good as Rossi today MINUS the gross intervention of the League and a promotion to 1:4 win worthy bikes. Dovi schooled Bradl when the German was on a "factory" bike (caveat that he was a rookie but keep in mind Dovis bike was a 'satellite'). So I agree with u when u say Nicky is as good or better than Bradl, but in this series he will never get to display his talent to run up st the front.

Ask most people here who they think are the top 5 riders in the world. 9:10 will tell u VR is one of them. 9:10 will not include Nicky in that list. U can put Marc or Lorenzo on that production LCR and they'll never see Q2. Then people will conclude, they suck. Its a reality Nicky has not learned. He is stupid if he stays in GP for more of the same treatment by a League who values clout over talent. Unfortunately Wsbk is now owned by that same League. Even then, hes still better off in Wsbk.

Nicky is ....... up by forcing the issue to stay in GP. A Wsbk title is 10x better than fighting for 11th- 21st positions in GP.

Talps my man, u really want to discuss SNSs? Brotha, SNS were an exclusive item for exclusive riders, Nicky was hardly one othem them. Certainly NOT under Rossi, and for the same reasons NOT under Pedro.

Yes mate, let's do it......! We've been here before. I'll happily go away if you've got some proof that Michelin didn't supply the Factory Hondas with SNS's after Rossi left, and how Honda would have allowed that to happen knowing that their sole aim for all of those years was to beat Rossi.


The Rc211v is considered to be the finest racing motorcycle ever built, Nicky was in the prime seat to take full advantage of this and he only delivered 2 wins and 1 championship. Certainly respectable for sure, but mate I can't put him in the same league as Rossi, Sete, Jorge, Stoner, Dani or even at this point Marc.


Great guy who has enjoyed (and still might) many years in Motogp on top spec Factory equipment, without the results of the riders above.
 
don't want to play the smart-... here, but Nicky did win a WC while Sete did not. [On a side note, I see an emerging parallel between Sete's and Spies' career developments].

04 he underperforms (i'm happy to debate this as a checa fan,since supposedly he is crap and was on a semi crap bike that year, what does that tell us about nick?)


05 only competition in the honda camp from binlandri and the spoilt brat, still he "only" gets third in the championship


all that because he got b-grade michelins? sure you're not confusing him with stoner 06?


 


jum, are you fishing or do you really think nicky didn't get the best rubber available to him during his repsol years? (2008 is a different story, agreed)
 
NH69 won a title by mistake in '06 (by mistake meaning that it wasn't anybody's plan he should win it...) and it seems he was never forgiven for that.

I admit to scoffing at his "Numbers don't lie" shtick in '07. But he's achieved what his teammate of the time hasn't. ..still...


I had real hopes for him on the Ducati. Bit sad how that all turned out.

Crutchlow, Lorenzo, Marquez, Rossi, Bradl, Pedrosa, Bautista, Smith, Dovizioso, Hayden.
 
Didnt see the session thats further back in fp3 than i expected Bradl to be... he usualy waits a bit longer before losing pace, or was he held up somewhere?
