MotoGP 2013: Brno build up; practice; qualifying (no spoilers)

Cal can nail quick, really quick, laps but I doubt he has the race pace to win a race. Enjoy it well you can Cal!

Nice to see Cal.s bike has not been toned down as some thought it might.

I was one of those who thought that but he did get the new tank and is slowly finding his balance with it.

I expect he will have a good race pace tomorrow. He seems greatly improved even from Indy a week ago

No way would I ignore you. You have not tried to spoil my race weekend

I guess Whammy won't know I'm chuckling at his irony fail!

Marquez and Bautista holy ....! Who says you have to ride them all wheels in line?

Great qualifying, enjoyed that one. Very nice lap from Crutchlow, on the limit all the way.

Ginger ahead of Factory Yamaha.

Non factory Yamaha ahead of all.

Interesting

Both works Yamahas were beaten by a Tech3 today -- so much for the factory riders testing at Brno recently!

After Quali Crutchlow told Italian TV that "Jarvis wasted his money" on those tests...  LOL :)

Now Cal has secured his deal, I am expecting a few good shots at Jarvis.

Exactly.  Marky knows that being the quick starter he is he doesn't need to worry about Cal and Bautista being ahead of him on the grid

If there is one thing Marquez has not mastered, it is the start of races. He has had 4 poles, and has not lead the first lap of any of those races. In fact, he sucks at the start. He constantly loses 2 and sometimes more positions by the first turn. Dani is still the master of the quick start, but they were all outdone last weekend by Lorenzo.

But Cal Crutchlow loses 4 places at the start and Bautista is no demon starter either - so I stand by my statement.  Although you are probably right that Dani will blast through from the 2nd row - must be something to do with weighing less than the average chihuahua

Crutchlow is a terrible starter, but that doesnt make Marquez a quick starter by standard. They will probably all 3 get eat up by the second row, and Bautistista will take out half of the field trying to get it back. God only knows what he is thinking. He is riding for a job now, and a front row start is his chance to impress. He has nothing to lose and everything to gain. If i were Marquez, i wouldnt be concerned with leading into turn 1.

It's a good thing then that Bradley Smith didn't out qualify Jorge

Im not sure I could have shown my face in here again, I would probably have blamed it on the post i made in the auction thread.
