Well the 20sec penalty for Zarco is a farce IMO.

What are race direction trying to do? ENCOURAGE RIDERS NOT TO RACE?

Fair enough simmo last time out was out of order, But that move by Zarco was a touch of class.

He lined it up out of penultimate corner and nailed Terol fair & square.

It was Terols own fault for leaving the door open for Zarco to go for.

MOTO GP is fast becoming a farce

Lets see what they can fix (that aint broken) in moto2.

......... He leant on him and ran him right of the track. That is not class that is gutless, unprofessional and down right dangerous. I would say it is dipping into race suspension territory. 20 sec was a let off light penalty.

If he hadn't left the gap Zarco wouldn't have had the chance to be there in the first place.

weve seen others squeezed of track before with no penalties before now.

It appears to be all change since le mans & the simo pedro clash, almost as if race direction are trying to justify the penalty they imposed there.

Whats the odds this season sees the most penalties imposed?

MA My appologies first time round I did not see the elbows by Zarco when they came onto the straight.

Just had another peek to make sure and now agree it was a dangerous move.

........ penalty, totally ruined the race and makes a mockery of the sport. I am massively disappointed. Yes Zarco didn't give any room at all, it was a pretty harsh move but it wasn't nearly as bad as what Folger did to Faubel earlier in the race or many other moves that happen regularly. They could have given him a talking to afterwards but tampering with race results for that its pathetic.

I wouldn't say Folger's move was worse than Zarco's. I thought they were about even. If you're going to penalize one, you've got to penalize them all. Another reason they should've let Simoncelli well alone in Le Mans. I'll be interested to see what they do to Sofuoglu.

I agree, they have to be consistend at the very least. I would have thought moving over on someone on the brakes is more dangerous than the exit of the corner, but i suppose if they are penalising one they should penalise all. I'm a bit worried about it really if they penalise Kenan as well, it's getting ridiculous. Although i think it'll pass like when they got heavy handed following on from Kato's accident. They'll dish out a few penalties to remind the riders that they are there and will act, then go quiet again and let them get on with it.... I hope

I'm not sure how Race Direction can justify a penalty while being interviewed about previous incidents saying they were fair play. I'd accept them if they went back and said, yeah, those previous incidents, we ...... up, we should have issued penalties. They can start with Jerez 05 which was worse than what we saw this weekend. Not to mention Jerez 11. I don't mind penalties if they are going to do it consistently, the thing is its arbitrary. I suppose the rules go something like this, if you're Spanish or Italian, you get the right of way. If you're Rossi, everybody get out of the way. Parc Ferme was a cluster .....

About the elbow, its part of body English, same as when Biaggi did it, looks bad, but its only "looks" bad, no intent, get over it.

I have to say Zarcos move was way worse. His intent was clearly to run terol of track. The others were bonehead moves or imbition over talent maneuvers. blocking him wide was fine but the little push off was completely unnecessary.

I cant say anything bout the Kato accident wasn't watching then .

But sure hope your right about letting them get on with it Tom

Just watched the replay. Race Directiin ...... up...again. Watch the helicoper shot. Terol ran himself off. Look at his trajectory, he ran out so far out the the corner he had to ride on the edge of track. Follow his line, u'll see he ran out of track irrespective that Zarco was next to him. Look at the different entries. Zarco too a wide line while Terol took tight, which naturally meant Terol would run wide.

.... Race Direction & .... Terol's chickenshit celebration...he got beat. Thanks Race Direction, ur plan on issuing podiums this year is working. Expect flowers fromTerol & Rossi.

I see what your are saying Jumkie. I just watched the replay. Terol defiantly botched the corner, but I am still kinda on the fence about the block at the end. I can see where zorco picks the bike up after exiting the corner. And then leans into terol and kinda pushes off, leaving no way for terol to get on the track. Zorco even hit the grass over it.

Folger and Zarco were incredible on Sunday and both (but especially Zarco) are really starting to find their feet in this class. Terrol had a sensible ride surrounded by carnage to take home some points. Terrols lead is big but if Folger and/or Zarco can regularly mix it up with him the result will be pressure and possibly a title shot later in the year, but that's still a long way off.

Good rides from all the British riders to finish in the points too.

Nobody wants to talk about the race on Sunday? One of the most incredible races in years!!

Well what a great race today,

Fantastic to see Corstese getting his first win! and a great battle with Zarco to get it.

Got to feel a tad sorry for Zarco though but his time WILL come
<

Big shout out to a friend of mine Harry Stafford who got his first championship points today after been plagued by problems all year and not been able to show his true potential. and of course he had a couple of crashes
<

Terol going out also has blown the championship wide open its going to be an interesting run in to valencia
<
.

Well, it was fine until the last corner. Who looks back heading to the finish line? He didn't just look back, he leaned up.
<

Well all things considered, it's a surprise Zarco still has a mathematical chance of the title heading to the final race. He has to win, which in itself will be hard, but if he can make it clear from the start that he is going to do just that, then he can hope Nico gets a rough get away. The pressure will be on big time, but as long as he keeps cool the job will do itself.
