Just heard that the race will be reduced to clubby sprint race distance.

Track is tripping up the tyre companies.

Badly.

Redding has fractured his left wrist. With Espagaro up front and Rabat in good form, the championship is going to get very tight.

Lots of riders going down in qualy, they were pushing hard through the last corner.

Now confirmed that Redding needs surgery and will not be riding tomorrow. It's not over till it's over in motorcycle racing.

Devastated.Until it's over there will always be hope, but right now it looks hard for Scott

The depths that Dorna will go to have a Spaniard with Moto 2!  No me lo creo!

Seriously now, horrible for Redding.  2 More races for him, hope he can get patched up.

Damn... that's terrible for Redding.  Ian Wheeler indicating on twitter that Scott might not only miss tomorrow, but also Motegi next week now.  He deserved better for the effort he'd put in this year.  Could still be an interesting title chase if Rabat wins the next three races.

The fans are getting ripped off with this race being cut in half,

I understand it's for safety, have you seen Terol's tire, Yikes.

Why didn't they decide to have a double header,

Two x 12 lap races with half points given"

Dorna sure knows about double header since they also run WSBK,

Thoughts

And now for Motogp,

Mandatory pit stop

For the first time in MotoGP history, compulsory bike changes will be

required in Sunday’s Tissot Australian Grand Prix. With a new race

distance of 26 laps, all riders will be required to change bikes during

the race.

I think Rabat is going to win the title. He is only 21 points behind Espargaro and is in such good form he could win the remaining races this year. Will be interesting to see the teammates battling it out.

Sucks about the shortened race, but the tyres really couldn't cope. And I don't think the teams are really setup well enough to handle a late change to two races, plus there would be a few scheduling issues. Might throw up some surprises with the crazy hard charges like DeAngeles.

Pol Won the race with Luthi and Torres filling out the podium. Rabat may not win the title.

It sucks for Redding. He was looking pretty good this weekend.

Yep, went out on a limb with my prediction and Rabat managed to screw it running wide.

Shame if Redding can't get back until Valencia.

Gutted for Scotty. Just hope he can return for motegi and keep his championship dreams alive.

Thats to bad for Scott and his fans. It was coming down to the last race, now it looks pretty safe for Asparagus. To his credit, he maximized the opportunity that was laid out before him

Yeah, maximized it for a whole 13 lap race. Scotty couldn't have picked a worse time to get injured.
