Sometimes i worry that because i'm not really into bikes that i don't have the right to call myself a real motorsport fan but after reading jova's post i'm a lot happier. This has been an unbelievable season and i couldn't even contemplate stopping watching.

I agree actually that wsbk has been very good this season. I didn't get into it so much last year but this time round i've been. However motogp has in comparison been out of this world. If you can't stay up. Record it and avoid the result!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Jova @ Oct 27 2006, 07:56 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Yeah I agree.

Thats the main reason I am not going to watch Moto GP next season.

I was so disappointed with this seasons racing, with Rossi's dominance and no real challengers I predict more of the same next season.

Its a tough decision I really enjoy motobike racing, you all may think I am crazy and can't be a fan because I am dropping it.

But all the late nights watching motogp here in Australia, my Mrs nagging me about it and being dissapointed after nearly every race has take its toll lol.

So I going to stick with the World Super Bikes, really enjoyed this season and the racing was fantastic. Even with Baylis dominating, every race was entertaining and so many riders were fighting to win.

If you watched the last race of the season you'll know what I mean.

jova ur just a deticated superbiker. to say u were dissapointed with this season smacks of serious sbk favoritism. plain & simple. u could not possibly have watched the same races the rest of us saw. u are the only person i've heard say this........

Not true, I like both. Like I said its a tough decision, I am still going to stay across Moto GP and what is going on but watch WSB.

From a racing point of view more of the WSB races were entertaining. Plus with two races per track, each racer has another crack at changing setup, doing things different and improving on the first race. So it makes for entertaining racing and you get double.

Recording the race is an option, but I usually find out the result and find no time to watch it.

But he had a satellite Honda ride offered and he declined it because he ¨needed¨a factory ride. I don´t think he will have any offers from Honda when his contract expires.

yeah i like the 2 race format also. i watch wsbk also, along with ama & i would watch bsb if we got it over here, have to do the season review each year instead. but i here ya man. but for me i'd give the others up if i were forced to choose. but hey different strokes fer diferent folks!

i think that was with pons was'nt it ? so i don't think it would have made a difference. besides he did'nt leave honda on bad terms so u really can't be to sure. besides suzuki might come up with the goods this time round.

we'll have to wait till stoner almost bankrupts ducati trashing thier bikes first!

^ hahaa thats how i figure it in my head ... stoner out at the end of 2007 and V-man in for 2008 ...

....... i can only dream

WSBK has been great and all.. but when push comes to shove MotoGP is the pinnacle of bike racing.. simple as..

Even if lets say the races weren't very exciting.. I would still watch GP's instead of superbikes.. in the knowledge that I am watching the best riders in the world on the best bikes in the world.

And to be honest, I think MotoGP is a lot more entertaining the WSBK. Maybe its just me

CV might also have the option of a Yamaha ride if CE retires in the near future. But a Duc would be better. Rub it into Stoner "Who's the better rider now, Punk?"

i'd prefer the Ducati option... coz that would have me sorted, my rider of choice, on the bike of my choice. but Yamaha would be allright, i doubt Honda would want him back
<

I don't know, if he proves himself I think Honda would take him. Remember Ten Kate aren't very closely tied to HRC. None of the Honda WSBK teams are in the HRC Mafia. CV merely left for a GP ride, that's understandable. It's not like he left to stick it up them and show off like Rossi did. The problem is, I think CV has been brainwashed into thinking he needs a factory ride to be successful. So, even if it is a better option to go for a satellite Honda (or Ducati) team, he may not take it. Which means Kawa, Yamaha, Ducati or Honda are the only options. Kawa would be a step in the wrong direction, HRC is a very exclusive club, so that only leaves Yamaha and Ducati. IF he gets an offer and has the sense to leave Suzuki.

<
Honda and Ducati need to take a leaf from Suzuki's books and start giving riders lobotomys. Maybe then CV would've been where he should be.

<
Jesus Katt, he's what? 23 in his first year in MotoGP. You act like he's resigned to failure and Suzuki for the rest of his life. Have faith.
<

Man, Skid. makes me feel like he's never gonna get away from Suzuki!
<
can only hope that they develop something decent for next year.

yeah don't give up katt. remember biaggi jumpin from honda to yamaha & back again. barros the same. edwards did the exact same thing as cv except he did the aprilla instead of the suzuki. & he ended up back at honda & moved on to where he is now. there's plenty of time & plenty of hope! besides suzuki might get it right this time.
