Michelin® Australian Motorcycle GP 2016 Nicky Hayden extravaganza with spoilers

Anyone know how the traffic will be?

Actually I really want to watch the speedway gp.

I got in this afternoon and it was fine - a lot more traffic heading the other way. Although a few of the roads will be closing from tonight for the weekend so that probably won't help

NFI regarding traffic. Probably heaps.

What day at spedway? You can go to Friday practice from 3pm.

Watch ...... not go ...... lol.

I may not have a great history as a "live at track" spectator ..... its kinda a running joke .... hence the "hows the traffic" ....... I am one of those rare few who prefer to spectate these events from my couch.

Im pretty sure someone will have the speedway on, tv or online. Il catch it somewhere.

How else do you think they came up with the conspiracy last year?

Well personally I was thinking that they saw a clairvoyant and a shaman (separately) prior to Sepang looking for a sign in the clouds or whatever it is those people look for as to why Valentino's season had gone from good to not so good, and why Ianonne and others had wanted to race rather than rest and allow their elder through.

Well that or they saw it on a current affair :p

Yes okay, gotcha. Last year I watched the speedway on foxtel, don't have it any more so have to go down to Melbourne... Had a bunch of qff points, flights, hotel and hire car done on points.

I've found myself pricing foxtel again, previously we were around $160 per month. The free to air crap sucks for motogp. Foxtel had all motorcycle racing on it.

Dani Pedrosa:
I’m better now. I’m recovering and everything is going well. As a matter of fact, yesterday I passed a medical exam, so we’re on the right path. My collarbone and fibula injury is healing properly, and I’ve already started physical therapy.

In my opinion he will be back in Valencia. Not sure about Malesya, seems like a long trip for the weekend specialy if he's not at least at 90%. But he did mention that is a shame not to be participating in Motegi and PI, he didn't mention Malesya (yet).

I'm sure the "doctors" who clear riders would clear him already, but they also cleared Iannone and Miller. And Petrucci is not to be forgotten.

And with no Iannone, the birds will have no revenge....

Those of you in attendance, please post pics. (Especially of Nicky).

If you live in a glass house, don't throw rocks.

" Hmmmmm, Australia. Not too close to the US. I got the ride at pretty short notice. Surely not enough time for that dude to show up at the track. Hopefully some peace and quiet at this round. No more sign this boom box, sign my chest, stand next to me Nicky so we can have a photo with our wrists in the air comparing our matching Tissot watches "

Nicky contemplating the upcoming race.......and jum

An Open Letter to the Paddock, From Your New World Champion
(By way of his press agent)

Hello every one,

It has been a long season, a hard season, and I want to thanks to you all. Even though are still 3 race to go before Christmas, we want to enjoy the fun and just relax. So everybody come and work together, and now the championship is finish. So now we get to do the fun, and enjoy the riding and the racing. Is no more pressure guys. Just good friends and good people enjoy each other.

I want to thanks Yamaha and Lorentho. #99 is returning the favor and helping to win the title. When Valentino crash out, I think, "Okay Mark - I try to practice my English by call myself English name - you finish the race and then next time is no pressure for place." And then when we finish the lap my crew put out the board for Lorentho and remind him of how I help him last year. So he see the words, and he make the decision. I not think he would, but I thanks him for making special day for Honda, to win championship on their home track. It was special day for all of us. I was hope to give you a gift of thanks this weekend, but the track has the rain all weekend. You come in second last year, and year before, but you win before that. So I thinks if the rain is better on Sunday, it has the mixed conditions, we can may be close together and then if you have the good race. I hope that you have the good feeling this weekend, because when the water is not so good for you.

And I want to thanks Dani for giving Nicky an opportunity to ride this weekend. When i was boy, I takes the picture with Nicky and I dream that one day I be like him. He ride for Honda and then I ride for Honda. He wins championship for Repsol, I win championship for Repsol. He ride for Ducati, I say no thank you but maybe I buy a t-shirt or gloves. Maybe socks. So this weekend I get to ride with one of my hero, and we have two Repsol champions on track at same time. I think Nicky has no pressure, he just relax and enjoy. He crash last year but finish 10th on customer Honda in 2014 and 7th on the Ducati in 2013. But this is hard bike to ride, so maybe not get in the top 10 but I think he do well. I think he will be fun to have in garage at same time. I will hate when he go, but I love watching them leave.

I want to say the thanks to Michelin for making a fantastic rear tire. Is beautiful. I spin it, I kick the rear out, and it last whole race. I like to ride with the bike loose, you know? And at first I worry that I not have the right feeling with the bike and the tire. But as the year goes, I not comfortable but still. I win. And then I not win, but I say is okay, because at least I podium. Dani, he struggle to get the heat into the tire. Lorenzo, is the feeling. But for me, the tire just works. So thank you to Michelin.
