Marquez unfortunately, as I can't stand the person, he's gone from being polite and enthusiastic to being a moody and irritable twerp, just like Stoner.

Back to the topic at hand. The series needs Stoner, he is the only rider in the world who has/ or had the outright speed to match Marquez on a race to race basis. Its very likely he has lost the edge sitting on the sidelines, but i would like to see. At this point, Marquez is playing with his fellow competitors, which may be more maddening than just getting blitzkreiged from the drop of the flag. I said there was no way Marquez would run the table, and i still dont believe it will happen, but it appears that the only way he will be beat is by either crash, mechanical failure, or the crew just totally misses the setup on race day, which doesnt seem to happen, ever. They seem to be as good at what they do as Marquez is at what he does . Lethal combination.!!!!

Nobody because it was the 1st season ever for rookie on a factory bike. :ninja:

"ever" ain't one era. It's ever.
It ok to be wrong. We all do it.

Commentators were banging on about Marquez "smashing" Stoners lap record in Germany.
What was it by between .1 & .2 of a second? Something like that.
Hardly smashing.
Especially as the six year old record was on an 800cc Ducati that others have failed on versus the 1000cc RC213V that many call the best bike for years.

I think we are all being robbed of seeing Marquez & Stoner both on RC213Vs chasing each other.
Imagine that around Phillip Island.

Smashing may be an exaggeration.
But the 800's would have been quick at this fiddly little track as had slightly higher corner speeds, and in 08 they still used qualifying tyres, which were worth a fair chunk of time + Stoner was just fast!!!
If there were qual tyres at the weekend I guess pole would have been low-mid 1m20s.

Kinda sucks we still have to look to Stoner to beat Marquez, we need new blood not a comeback. We all know how good Casey was but after 2 years fishing he's not gonna be able to contain the 93.... Without the time off, I still dont think he would beat MM over a season, maybe last year, but not now.

Stoner would be just another one fighting for 2nd, MM would have him beat mentally before the flag had even dropped, just like he has done to Jorge this year. I think Ianonne might be the biggest threat when he lands a competitive ride, the more i see him the more im impressed....just my 2 cents worth

I would have to agree with Thumpy. MM is tearing it up in every race before (mentally) and during. What he has done over the past two races really shows the quality of rider he really is. In the beginning of the season I was rooting against MM but seeing him dominating race after race is incredible. Scary part is he is still very young and who knows how many years we will be witnessing this. In the meantime I'll sit back and enjoy the racing.

I hope he has a day job that doesn't require humour as he is not too good at it.

Zoolander was classic. That's not.
