2005 125cc World Champion Thomas Luthi broke his collarbone in a fall today at a private test at Sachsenring. The injury sustained is to the same collarbone that was injured in the final preseason tests at Catalunya. Luthi seemed to finally recover last weekend by taking victory at Le Mans. Luthi is expected to be operated on today (Thursday). It is still unknown whether or not Luthi will participate in the Italian Grand Prix in less than two weeks time, however the Elit Caffe Latte Honda Team will be heading to Mugello should Luthi be cleared to ride.

I pretty much doubt that he'll be back in time for the race at Mugello in two weeks time. He's got to spend time recovering, he doesn't want to go back racing too early and hurt himself again.

Damn thats a shame for him and the squad, especially after his win at Le Mans.

I'm really sorry for Lüthi this must be a massive blow now that he had found the pace again after a bad start to the season.

no #1 plate next season then

It`s still 125`s. Anything could happen. But at the moment Luthi`s body is worse than Rossi`s bike. It just keeps breaking
