Losail final pre-season MotoGP Test

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (J708 @ Mar 19 2010, 03:02 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>just got back guys from second day of testing.

tech 3 yamaha today decided to retire only 2 hours after testing. lovely Mrs. Stoner was present for a prolonged period of time to give the fans some eye candy
<
The best part out of it all.. was? the wall at Fiat Yamaha! it was quiet funny to see after hearing so much about the "wall" between two team mates. From what I could see was Lorenzo was very confident while Rossi seemed like he was worried or maybe up to something fishy
<
My camera had a extremely obvious green light and I think I pissed off the guys at Xerox Ducati and tech 3. For some weird reason everytime I decided to take a few pics of Hayden and Rossi someone always managed to eventually stand infront of them. Ben was awesome Ben just chillaxing and doing what he does best.

I capture a few awesome still pics. Snapping while the bikes flew across the finish line was a little hard but my buddy had a lens bigger than my head so he'll be sending me a few pics soon.

Stand by
Do you have any idea why they would do that.

i would've said Ben was happy with his timing. but looks like he's 9th today. so no. i have no idea

MotoGP reports that both Team Texas riders (as well as Nicky and Casey) took a tumble in T2. Maybe the riders are feeling a bit banged up, or the team ran out of brake levers?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Rootsman @ Mar 19 2010, 01:10 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Looks like Edwards is still on track because he just went up to 8th.
Yep, after a slow period, most riders are back out on track.  They must take a beer break or something around 10pm.

im happy u like them guys. i used the families g10 canon. didn't come out half as bad as i thought it would. more to come

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (yamaka46 @ Mar 19 2010, 08:44 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Not sure Rossi is going to want Spies to replace Lorenzo, assuming that Yamaha go with Rossi over Jorge. There may be trouble ahead, which is doubtless why Rossi is pushing all out during testing this year. Does imply a good season's racing, but then I thought that about F1 until Bahrain
<

Tho it's been in the back of my mind for a while - I thought it'd be premature
to say so - but after these tests - I'd say Spies will be in Rossi's thoughts at
night when he's trying to fall asleep. It can't be comforting to see the kid
doing so well right off the bat. Remember how hard Lorenzo fought in his
rookie year. Spies is surely gonna be at the sharp end - and he's not all
emotionally mercurial like Lorenzo. He's one seriously calculating Texan.

I said previously that Simoncelli was going to be a huge disappointment and got shouted down. I would say last place is probably a little less than he and others were expecting.

Although I must add that Melandri is equally disappointing. I would put this down to psychology though as I have no doubt that Melandri thought he would be back at the front as soon as he got on a Honda and when that didn't happen no doubt he gave up already.

I guess these 2 show the true class of the Frenchman who is doing more than the factory team through much of the testing.

I am also disappointed with Aoyama as I thought he would be doing better than he is.

The Pramac team are doing quite well as they are achieving what they should be. In or around the top 10 is what most would expect from them I think.

I am also impressed with Bautista who is regularly beating the rest of the rookies on a bike that no-one has really achieved anything on.

Lastly Dovi, I hope he can keep this form up into the race season. It would be oh so justified for him to beat his team mate and I would see it as revenge for Hayden who had to fall on his sword for the little midget. Somehow Puig has something to do with this - as I wouldn't be surprised if he takes a selfish delight with Dani failing as he can say it is because his role in the team has been reduced and therefore they can't get it together.

I think in this day and age as a rookie if you are not fast from the start then you are destined to always be an also ran. Non of the rookies look like they have that 'IT' factor. (Note: I don't class Spies as a true rookie)

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Jumkie @ Mar 19 2010, 04:27 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Honestly, if Lorenzo was healthy, we may have saw it like this:

1. Rossi YAMAHA
2. Stoner
3. Lorenzo YAMAHA
4. Spies YAMAHA
5. Edwards YAMAHA

on a related note:

(Anybody remember when people use to claim Stoner was on a bike with an "advantage" while the other Ducati's were literally at the bottom of the time sheets?
<
)
1 Casey Stoner Ducati Marlboro Team 1:55.353 - - 51
2 Valentino Rossi Fiat Yamaha Team 1:55.860 +0.507 +0.507 57

5 Loris Capirossi Rizla Suzuki MotoGP 1:56.195 +0.080 +0.842 58

So Jumkie in the end its not looking bad for ductai team, stoner half a second quicker to any one else and they got 2 riders in top 5 compare to only 1 yamaha rider in top 5, can't see any bike advantage for yamaha now buddy. Jumkie just slow down with your pre-mature assumptions please
