I don't go nearly as far into tyre conspiracies as some on here, and tend to think firstly that Michelin have stuffed up as I said, and secondly that Jorge is leaving Yamaha and is in the natural order of things not getting the same level of support as if he was staying as has also been said.
I disagree with the argument that because Jorge is not complaining profusely he has no problem with the tyres, and also with those who subscribe to a rather large conspiracy theory being scornful about others raising conspiracy theories, both of which lack logical consistency imo.
What actually has happened is that the winner of 43 races and 3 riders' titles, their last 3 in fact, for Yamaha is leaving for another team in the prime of his career after saying he wanted to be a Yamaha icon as recently as last year, while a 37 year old rider who great as he was hasn't won a title in the last 6 full seasons and appears unlikely to do so in a seventh has been preferred over him. Call me a conspiracy theorist if you wish, but it is perhaps not overly paranoid to suspect reasons other than purely racing ones are involved. Jorge also has several reasons not to be vocal about the tyres, a recently introduced rule prohibiting him from doing so among them, as well as the lack of an alternative tyre supplier with whom to co-operate at the new team he is going to next year and the strong likelihood his title chances are gone this year anyway which complaints won't alter.
