LAGUNA SECA 2013: Predictions, Practice, Qualifying

(I'm starting this thread in hopes of recouping normal practice and pre-event thread titles. )

Predictions:

If Lorenzo and Pedrosa are unfit, this is an easy one to predict:

1. Rossi

2. Marquez

3. Cal

Note: If Pedrosa is fit, he will podium. All other finishers are of no consequence.

Weather: Sunshine

i'd like to see nicky stand up to dovi,hayden should really leave gps on a high if he wants to set the world on fire in sbk.

Marquez pole and win, Dani 2nd if he races and Cal 3rd.

Shame Lorenzo wont be riding but it will make his 2013 championship even more memorable with his spartan comeback.

Jum, isnt 70 degrees unusually cool for this time of year? That will favor the Yamaha, which seems to get out of sorts the higher the track temps.

Laguna is in a bowl and has a bit of its own weather. Mornings can start off a bit cold, with dense morning fog. Warms up but the breeze can be chilly. By race time ambient is 75ish.

You told me it was going to be hot there, I say ha!!! after reading that. We've got it much hotter here!

As for the race,

Cal will get a podium, who the other two will be on it with him, I'd say Pedrosa and Rossi, I think Lil Red could be right, this could be Marquez's race where he crashes out. (That will happen courtesy of the bad vibes Red sends his way

)

Oh and there will be a rowdy bunch in the stands who we'll all see in tv and we'll all say, hmmm I know them!! Fame for the Powerslide gang!

Hey, that thing called the sun is still trying to kill me too. I am comfortable up to about 25C beyond that I don't like it and there's nothing below 27C all week and possibly until the end of the month forecast for here!

My air conditioning is on full (for that read my windows are open as wide as they'll go right now) and it's still too hot!

He said he wants to be back at 100%. He wants to be sure of that.

He also said he'll be giving everything possible to make some noise (in the good way), or "else there won't be much after that" (quoting his own words).

were you out there in 2006? omg.. the ocean wind went right over the bowl.. we got none of it.. 67 in monterey, 110 at laguna.. that was by far the worst experience ive ever had at any event, anywhere, ever. people collapsing from heat exhaustion, firemen giving water out by the pallets.. and standing in line for a bus to get the hell out of there for about 4 hours.. the worst. you shouldve seen the crowd, we'd be walking.. and when a breeze did come (prolly every hour or so, for about 2 seconds..) you'd see everyone stop and soak it up.. cuz it sucked
