Is there even a Laguna Race thread yet?? If not here we go. I think this is going to be a runaway race for Valentino, especially since Jorge and Casey are not %100. Hey Edwards might get that podium afterall.

Maybe I have missed something, but whers is Mika Kallio this weekend ???
Why only one Pramac Ducati.

I hear Lorenzo has got a partially dislocated shoulder and hasn't been cleared to race yet. I haven't heard anything about Stoner though.

I think Kallio is a great racer! Next year, if he continues in MotoGP, he will be in the top ten!

with taka, mika, and possibly lorenzo and stoner out this could be quite an empty grid.

any wild cards this year ??

Stoner said in most recent interview he's okay to race. Still think this is Rossi's
race to win.

Lorenzo looked like he was trying to get back into last season's form. Hopefully he can quit getting spit off the bike before his career ends prematurely. He was favoring that right leg/knee/foot/ankle??? quite a bit. I hope he can make the grid.

Unless a miracle occurred during last night and Stoner is fit, Rossi win by >10 seconds today.

Good afternoon (I'm in NYC)
It would be amazing if Hayden's qualifying position translated into
an actual good placing.

Doh! Elias dumps it in looooong low-side. Banged up his hand. Looks okay
otherwise.

Melandri drops one too. Meh.

Lorenzo very tentative in practice. On return to garage
he walks like a vintage mummy. Clearly in lots of pain.

Rossi fastest in first three sectors - Stoner in the fourth.
<
And fastest
overall in the session.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (gsfan @ Jul 6 2009, 03:07 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Well Stoner is fit. Lorenzo I would say is still a maybe.

Still have to see if he can go the distance though yet, so its going to be an interesting race.

No one mentioned a Hurt Lorenzo is faster than a Healthy Nicky....
Come on Ducati.. you have to be able to make a bike that someone other than Stoner can ride fast...

well i'm gonna have to say that with lorenzo hurting & stoner having fitness issues or whatever the mystery condition is, it's gonna be a rossi run away. so it looks like the fights gonna be for 2nd & 3rd. hopefully the knucklehead director can stick with the action
<
instead of endless shots of rossi cruisin around.
<

I think this will be a rematch of Casey and Valentino .
Casey will get the best of the Doctor this time...
Then mysteriously his stomach flu will be gone..

Pedrosa will buzz around until things get to hot and he can't take the paint swapping..

Stoner
Rossi
Pedrosa
Elias
Edwards
Lorenzo
Hayen

Lorenzo's limping which doesn't look good, but there's about 3 hours between that ride and the race, he's gonna be in intensive care between now and then and they're bound to fill him with pain killers! I hope it's enough to go race distance, I reckon he'll be after points rather than a podium. But one thing for sure he'll want to finish above Stoner.

Good luck Lorenzo!
