Ooost you might know, considering you follow AMA.

What sort of lap times do you think the MotoGP boys are going to be running at Laguna this year, Race and Qualifying? Whats the fastest superbike lap there do you know?

And any idea what sort of times the 250's are going to be doing too? Ive got a feeling the 250 times are not going to be that far off superbike times considering Laguna is tight and twisty.

The lap record is somewhere in the mid to low 1'24" range for qualifying and race lap record I believe is in the high 1'24"s or low 1'25"s. 2004's pole went to Ben Bostrom at 1'24"9. Alpinestars has/had an interview on their website with John Hopkins and he thought MotoGP could go anywhere from 2 to 5 seconds faster. I think qualifying will see them dip to the high 1'20"s perhaps and a race pace in the high 1'21"s or low 1'22"s. That is my estimate. The 250s and 125s aren't coming, World Championship series' never seem to bring their support classes over, World Supersport never came over when WSB was here and now we don't get 125s or 250s which I am kind of disappointed by. Seeing as how it is the "MotoGP/AMA Superbike Doubleheader", what I would really like to see is a wildcard ride for Mladin on the GSV-R. But with all the politics in this sport we all know it won't happen.
