Karma's a ...... for Rossi fans who love to talk smack

You think Rossi is done after round 6 of 18? Guess you feel he has been really slow and hopeless so far this season.

Just giving the lad hope, he seems so passionate .But realistically, Rossi being down to Lorenzo by 37 points is a different ball of wax than Lorenzo being down to Rossi by 30 points. Lorenzo is the quicker rider and can make up points on a much more regular basis and you have the Marquez factor. As bad as the Honda is, He has finished ahead of Rossi in 4 of the 6 races.

Not really. It was clear that Rossi could fight with Lorenzo, otherwise Lorenzo would've done the usual and cleared off in the distance. Even when Rossi lost a little time attempting some overtakes, he always ran Lorenzo down and got right back on his .... Rossi had a good pace.

Directed at those who "liked" your post rather than you (you are imo a rational poster who defends his position with actual arguments) but this post could be summarised by "it's different because it is Rossi".

It would be similar to a Lorenzo "whine" if Rossi was 2+ seconds behind Lorenzo and not decreasing the gap when his failed.

Again you guys are in no position to complain about Lorenzo, Stoner or Doohan or any other rider in gp bike racing history complaining given how vastly they were exceeded by Rossi's epic late season 2015 whinefest.

It's a big ask for him but yesterdays misfortune could strengthen his resolve. He does need a multi race winning run to bring the points difference down by a chunk.

@ Jerez I would've won if I wasn't getting so much rear tire spinning.

Nice try, funny how you wrote down words which he didn't even say without a credible source and expect us to believe that? Show me, with a link to a credible source, where Lorenzo said those exact words. Not what you interpreted him to say, but where those exact words are in print.

You won't be able to, you know why? Because here is what he ACTUALLY said, and from a reliable source:

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/123964

"Rossi was faster in the first part of the race, and I was losing little by little some metres," Lorenzo said.

"The rear tyres started to spin on the straight but not so much and then I quickly started to recover some metres to Rossi and suddenly the rears started to spin in the centre.

"This has never happened to me in MotoGP so I had to slow down and use 80 per cent of throttle on the straights in every gear and I couldn't keep the same dynamic, to fight for the win

I know your Rossi bopperism clouds your judgement, but a simple grasp of the English language might be helpful to you.

Or it could destroy it, who knows. As far as Rossi going on a winning binge, not impossible but he has not won back to back races in over 6
years, much less 4 in a row like Lorenzo did last year. Rossi was the recipient of the perfect storm last year and still wasn't fast enough to close the deal. It will get to a point soon where Yamaha will have no choice but to back Lorenzo if they want the title this year . Rossi's best shot at another title is next year. With his faster teammate gone to the unpredictable Ducati and with a new young teammate, if Honda ..... up again, he might just steal one.

Being fair though Pov, if pole positions are an indicator this could well be the year for Rossi to go back to back.

I say that as this season is the first since 2009 that Rossi has had 2 pole positions in the season so anything may happen

This season Rossi has the slightest chance IF the weather goes his way, like it did several times last year AND if Yamaha make some advancements, that they withhold from Lorenzo due to him going to Ducati. Having said that Marquez isn't going to roll over like last year, he showed that yesterday with an awesome display of bottle and skill. He'll figure a way to get that bike to the flag first pretty soon and after last year he wants to beat Rossi and Lorenzo badly.

Im afraid Marquez's showing yesterday was the track itself masking the Honda problem. They have spin everywhere, but its less of a problem on the fast flowing tracks. Its the tracks with a lot of 1st and 2nd gear acceleration points is whats going to .... them. That is unless Honda cracks the code, whichg im confident they will do. The main question is will it be in time to save this season.

Championship isn't done by a long way, Marquez only 10 points off and 12 rounds left, and what's to say there won't be any more dnf's to change things? Don't count chickens!

Im saying the championship is done for Rossi, and it was done before the season started He is not going to beat Lorenzo in a straight up fight on the same bike over the course of an 18 race season. Marquez is the best rider on the planet, if Honda can give him a bike that is close to the Yamaha, his talent will win out over Lorenzo and the better bike.

Many thought the same about Nick Hayden in 06, as the man said 'That's why we line up on a Sunday'

Yup thats what i said aswell. And oh u all forgot about 2013. Marc had a 43 point lead going into phillip island 2013 and then he won the wc with 4 points. This .... aint over for any of the top 3. I also smell a ducati and a pedrosa win anytime soon.

Considering Rossi wasn't fast enough down the stretch and choked away the title in 2015, and also choked away the title in 2006, povol's observation stands to be more accurate right now.

MM has proven to hold up under pressure as has Lorenzo, Rossi hasn't.

I beg to differ, in 06 Rossi was a massive pre-season favourite, nobody would have put money on Hayden early season, I in fact bet $50 on Rossi when he was 51 points behind and was at Valencia to see the finale fully expecting a win and $50 coming my way, one .... start and a crash later, the rest is history, and big daddy was $50 richer. Point is you can never predict sports so far in advance, too many factors come into play as Sunday amply demonstrated.
