Karma's a ...... for Rossi fans who love to talk smack

Disagree sorry, they both have to hit their markers. With the slipstream Rossi was actually ahead before hitting the brakes. He just wasn't as late and as good

I just think it's harder to overtake into turn 1 than it is to defend. If Rossi was in the lead on the straight, I don't think Lorenzo could've easily outbraked him. But Lorenzo could brake late enough that Rossi ended up going wide trying to brake even later. The slipstream makes it even more tricky as you're carrying more speed.

I don't think turn 1 would have been the pass of choice had the unfortunate blow up not happened. Other turns were better for making a decisive pass and making it stick. Sadly we'll never know. Roll on Cataluñya.

But Rossi was ahead on the straight, he tried inside and out and couldn't get it stopped.

Don't get me wrong I think Rossi had better corner speed on entry of some corners, but he could stop the thing as well

If Rossi was leading when the engine expired, then he might have a point in saying he could/shouldhave won, but Rossi was never in the lead(temporarily ahead under braking and ran wide is not considered leading, IMO).

So why he try it nearly every lap?

What he meant is; I was lining up Jorge for the kick to seal the win. Hey I'm in Italy, dont you see my sea of yellow fans?? RD dare not make a call or else...........

It would've been hard for him to get it stopped because he used to slipstream to carry more speed. Lorenzo will brake into turn 1 as hard as he can (I believe they were both on the same tire compound) so Rossi would need to A. brake slightly earlier than Lorenzo to compensate for fact that he's carrying more speed into the corner or B. brake around the same point as Lorenzo but then end up going wide into the corner because of the excess speed. I think what Rossi wanted to do was brake late enough to force Lorenzo to have to try and ride around the outside of him or give up the position.

My point is that even though Rossi is known as being better on the brakes than Lorenzo, it's not by such a huge margin that it would be easy to outbrake Lorenzo into turn 1 at Mugello. I think Rossi would've eventually made a pass stick, but getting it done at turn 1 would've been very difficult.

Ok your right I'm wasting my time

He didn't, two times were all, one of those was the start of the engine blowing.
He slip streamed every lap, but your a bopper so you probably turned off when Lorenzo took the lead at the start.

Whatever I say you will twist yellow. So no point.

He only passed twice, notice passed is spelt differently than slipstream !

Shame your eyes were playing up again, he was actually ahead of Lorenzo from the slipstream on nearly all the laps....that's a pass ain't it. Enjoy

Lorenzo's whining is different. It's when he doesn't have the pace to stick with the leaders for whatever reason and claims he would've won if it wasn't for _____. Had Lorenzo's engine blown while he was right on Rossi's ..., it would've been clear he probably could've fought for the win.

For example?

Which other turns in particular and based on what?

Didn't Marquez get past elsewhere on the track? Or Dani and Iannone, none of their passes and repasses occurred at turn one.

Yes, that's blatantly obvious, which is my point about your vapid post. I guess I was too subtle hehe.

Edited to add an adjective to help your munchkin brain to unnerstan...

The fact that everybody reported rear tire spinning is not significant?

Right, everyone was dealing with it yet he's the only one that would've won for sure if it wasn't happening to him. It's like complaining about a wet track as if it's only wet for him.
