Karma's a ...... for Rossi fans who love to talk smack

Im trying to see your reality.

When you say faster do you mean the english word "slower"? Cos that would make what you said a valid point. Though probably not the valid you want.

No know. But in your language faster is probably slower, and slower faster lol.

Yes, Rossi was apparently faster than JL in a race in which he finished 10 seconds behind him.

Take out the engine failure and Rossi is still behind in the points when he was ahead last year, JL is usually really good at the end of season tracks, and won't I think repeat an error like Misano 2015 if he is leading the title race rather than trying to make up a substantial deficit. Sure he can have a mechanical failure himself or be taken out by the error of another, although the way he starts takes him out of the range of most of the torpedo artists.

I actually give Yamaha the benefit of the doubt as to whether they will offer Jorge equal support which is one complicating factor, particularly since I expect MM to be close enough to be a threat to a Rossi/Yamaha title as well as JL. Not supporting Jorge this year might cost Yamaha their only chance of a title for three years, given while I agree Rossi appears fast enough this year it is a gamble that he will continue to be aged 38 and 39, and not a bet Yamaha really intended to make imo, as well as it being unlikely that MM will have bike problems which sufficiently hamper him over that period.

Im comparing cuz ppl are saying its over for rossi blablabla cuz he is 37 points behind. No it aint over yet for anyone.

Ha yeah. Starting from 7th, working your way up to 2nd. Set the fastest lap. Doing all the hard work. Compared to cruising at 1st position with no battles.

Ask any rider where they whether they would prefer to finish first or second ............. any rider who said second is not a racer

The other decisive thing to paraphrase a golf term 'it is not how, but how many' and thus to put this to motorsports, to win 'easy' is a win worth taking.

All of them including Rossi will now win that way if they can given the current standard of opposition.

Only a Rossi fan would consider him to be "faster in the race" when he lost by 10 seconds on the basis of 1 lap, particularly given Jorge was unpressured in the lead for the whole race as you say. How a rider qualifies and starts is part of it all btw, which Rossi certainly realises (and is trying quite hard to address this year) even if you don't.

I'd say if anything Lorenzo is trying to nurse the tyres more this year and keep a safe distance if possible rather than gap them so hard and then try to hang on.

Battles oh i see ... no ... i dont ...... so you are saying jack miller alvaro and loris are the fastest ... now?

Nup ..... im still not seeing your reality.

Ok, lets try this ....

Is pan or the cheshire cat involved in this reality?
Superman? The riddler?

Just not seeing it.

What planet are you on? Lorenzo dominated the entire Le Mans weekend and you're trying to claim Rossi was faster?

That's like my claiming Lorenzo was faster than Rossi at Jerez!

Lets be real; 2 poles each. rossi has been faster during 3 races and did u forget he retired twice and started 7th in france and finished 2nd? He had a big chance of winning at mugello. I took of my glasses, but u really need some tho.

With the schedule the way it is , Rossi needs to make hay in the first half of the season . The tracks that suit him are front loaded on the schedule .the reasons for his second half fades are that and his age. As good as he is riding, the dog days of summer affect him more than Lorenzo and Marquez and the majority of tracks don't suit him as well. A lot of these tracks he had success at in the past when he was racing lesser talent now belong to Lorenzo, Marquez and even Pedrosa. Rossi is in the position now of having to take risks and that usually leads to more DNF's , especially racing against riders who force you to be perfect under normal circumstances . I would be very surprised if Rossi makes much of a run the rest of the season

Who knows. We will see how things will go. New tyres new electronic rules for this year. 2 yama engines blown in a day. Its very different from last year.Lorenzo was 29 points behind rossi after 3 races last year and marc was 43 points ahead of jorde going in to phillip island 2013 and so on. Alot of he was and he was we can talk about. But i dont think rossi will win this year anyway.

I don't really understand your argument, other than agreeing that, sure, while it remains mathematically possible for Rossi to win it remains mathematically possible for him to win.

The MM argument in particular puzzles me. Sure an unlikely chain of stuff-ups led to a position where it was mathematically possible for him to lose the title in the last round if he was suicidally inclined, but even as a particularly rash rookie he refused every invitation from Jorge to self destruct. Jorge also proved to be nails under immense pressure last year as has been said. Rossi on the other hand has won his many championships dominantly (not a criticism), and not very arguably cracked the only two times he was in title contests that were remotely close even though he was still in very favourable positions.
