<{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>That's true, but his main strength last year were the ability to break away from the rest of the field. Or to put it in another way, what would happen if Biaggi and Gibernau were able to brak away more often? It sure would have looked different, but for some reason the didn't and I'm not so sure that was only down to Rossi's mindgames.
I believe in the first year of Rossi at Yamaha the Honda was still able to break away however the advantage wasn't taken as often as it should have. None of the other riders have been able to come close to Casey in turning the domination tables around.
Despite all the hoopla about Biaggi and Sete neither one of them ever won more than four races against Rossi, nor did Nicki or KR Jnr in his first year (who both won championships against him – everybody forgets about fat Kenny). Four races are as much as anyone can expect whether they win or lose a championship against Vale.
Except for Casey -He won 10 last year and is poised to win perhaps 6 this year (maybe even more).
I don't think that the "old Rossi" ability to dominate even when losing (very zen, but he did it) is as pronounced against Casey who has not only the ability to break away (and he will do it again), but he has mixed it and won with Vale previously.
I think that Casey has conceded the championship and will go into the next few races a little more relaxed. He can work on tactics and re-establish or reinvent his own race.
