Is now the time to march Dani to the gallows?

Someone get these Indonesians and Filipinos on planes and get them to race meetings ASAP. Aside from Aragon, I don't think I've ever actually seen a Lorenzo 'section' of fans, and at Silverstone I was one of about maybe five people I saw all day wearing Lorenzo gear. Yellow however was EXTREMELY popular.

Lorenzo needs to start torpedoing people combined with winning, then he'll get his own fan section.

Or not come off as arrogant, petulant, serious, hypocritical sheriff of the land.

Jum, since you can, read or watch some local interviews of him.  It's not just me that sees him as a prick.  For being a 2 time GP champ, his Spanish following is very small.

I've always marveled why Spain doesn't embrace him, and actually embrace Pedro.  A long bow you'd need to stretch to make the case Pedro isn't all of the things you accuse of Lorenzo.  Lorenzo stuck me as you say during his 250 days, and was one reason I didn't like him much; however all that has changed, I think he has matured quite a bit since then.  If its true that he speaks arrogantly, hypocritical, and petulant, it would seem at odds for Spain not to embrace him as their poster child (like arrogant ... Alonso).  Which makes me think there is another reason why perhaps they don't like him.  Maybe its because he's not from the mainland?  Not one of us.  That would really fit into my narrative of the country.  :)

The islander thing has nothing to do with it.  Nadal, tennis #1, is from Mallorca too and he is adored.  Something about his attitude and demeanor towards others is what rubs people in Spain the wrong way.  JL tries too hard to be "chulo"  (cool in castellano) and I think comes off a bit as a fake.  He would be called a "puto chulo.

"

DP on the other hand doesn't even come close to trying.  He is seen as much more sincere, and not trying to be something he isn't.  He's an introverted, dry and a bit socially inept.  Kind of like the nerdy neighborhood kid.  He is accepted as that.

MM on the other hand is seen as the happy go lucky, jovial, friendly, playful neighborhood kid that everyone can get along with, or feels they know from the pueblo.

Alonso, on Spanish commentary and interviews can be very much like this too.  He doesn't try hard to be cool, and around town he tries to be a normal guy.  I sat on a plane up to Asturias once with his previous GF.  She was cute, very cute, but didn't draw any unnecessary attention to herself or who was picking her up.  On the international scene thought he is very much more serious and business.

If you want to be obtuse, that's fine. You are obviously not my target audience.

Just ignore.

Very well argued my friend, you are of course spot on, however here you will come across many Rossi haters whose logic is somewhat distorted, they would even like Hitler if he beat VR......
