INDY 2010: prediction, practice, qual

lol the fact remains.....and so glad my spelling mistake gave you some ammo
<

The spelling mistake is relatively trivial I agree, but in pointing out this triviality you have not addressed the lack of familiarity with the concept of hypocrisy with which I thought the spelling error was consistent; as with others despite what you avow your purpose seems to be stoner bashing rather than rossi defending.

I continue to not label anyone including you a bopper, and have not previously called anyone a troll. You fairly obviously are such a one as I picked from virtually your first post. I don't usually find trolls particularly objectionable, but prefer them to display more subtlety and wit than you appear to possess on available evidence thus far.

I have not seen the incident to which you refer, since it occurred at 4.00 am australian east coast time. If it is as you say, and strangely it does not appear to have been reported widely, it sounds ungracious but not dangerous; concerning the latter the stewards would seem to agree with me, as I am not aware he has been censured or fined.

Is that an insult then? lol

Other than this i dont see the point of what your saying...other than you havent watched what happened?

You are nicely skirting around the point i am making entirely....and just trying to nitpick spelling and other such tripe.

Stick the point at hand dude.....oh sorry you cant because you havent even seen what happened lol.

you can't really compare to the Elias incident. the corkscrew was avoidable, as ive said rossi was in front, nobody forced stoner to keep the pressure up there. Elias was a loose cannon earning him the nick name scud. How could rossi have avoided that incident ?

Dude, please tell me this is an example of 'dry' British humor....

Toni's pass on Rossi (we're talking Istanbul T12, right?) was MUCH more controlled and inherently safe than Rossi's Corkscrew lunge.

In Turkey, Elias crowded Rossi a foot or two wide - into the marbles. A little hard but entirely fair. (Contrast to Gibbers being forced clear off the freaking pavement.) Valentino then made a NOOB mistake and tried to crank the bike back to full lean, nearly losing the front in the process. This near crash was 100% VR's fault, yet he whined and bitched like a spoilt hotel heiress. "

Avoid the incident?"
blink.gif
WTF mate, he CAUSED the incident!

I do think Stoner owes Apsparagus and Barberella an apology. He held them up in a way that would have resulted in a petit tantrum had the roles been reversed.

IMO, Casey's only strategic mistake at Laguna was to back off after the near crash. It was a sane, level headed course of action, but it was also a white flag of sorts. I really think he needed to re-assert himself ASAP. he should have pushed back, HARD, and if one or both wound up in the gravel, so be it. Since we're all claiming the ability to channel the heroes of yore, let me say that Mick, Ed, Wayne, and all the the other hard-nosed .......s would have instinctively done just that - push back.

I see you have started a race thread, which would seem to be an excellent idea.

We appear to be talking at cross purposes. You have been following premier class racing for a similar length of time to me

( doubtless with greater knowledge), and I am surprised if you have any problem with paint swapping; I certainly don't. My point is that casey stoner believes valentino is allowed greater tolerance in this aspect than he is; this is not a supposition but something he has clearly expressed, not least post-laguna seca 2008. It is not necessarily constructive for him to have this view, and certainly not constructive for him to express it, but I can understand why he feels this way.

I've no problem with paint swapping mate. It's this that gives the lower classes its excitement.. My point was merely to point out Stoner touched rossi on the approach so why moan rossi touched him on the exit.
<
It could be seen that the touch on the approach caused the touch on the exit. I've always maintained it was just hard racing and stated i had respect for rossi and stoner after that race. In fact i posted that at the time. Because I was in america at the race and did not get to see the post race interview until i got back to the uk. I was disappointed to say the least but now with hindsight i believe stoner was venting because he knew he missed a opitunity. Had stoner not dropped his bike on the last turn he may have won, i dare say his post race interview would have been somewhat different had that been the case. Casey imo needs to keep his frustrations under control. This latest example of him blocking the racing line after his threats in germany should raise an eyebrow with most race fans and the stewards.

Rob, this forum is unlike most....

You need to lighten up a little, Francis. If you take these fool's rants too seriously, you'll burst a bubble.

Many folks, particularly Mr. Jumkie - whom you revile - have their tongue firmly in cheek most of the time. (If you want to piss him off, Just start praising Pedrosa and Puig - that will get him going for real!)

Seriously.

I read the first couple of sentences only because i could see where you were going with this, but suffice to say.......its not about one or another. I just find it amazing the sheer amount of people willing to defend a move like what we witnessed yesterday, and then try and jump down other peoples throats for "only seeing the good" in rossi.

Just hypocrasy at its finest.

People can support who they like, no matter what next mans opinions of that person may be, however when all you see is people blasting rossi fans for this very same kind behaviour(blind support of valentino through thick and thin) it just makes you laugh with the sheer irony.

Reasons for liking valentino...

simple....i have never seen another rider like him on the track, and he always makes time to smile and bring a positive vibe to the proceedings, nothing to do with all his bs antics and celebrations etc, i also never claimed him to be an angel off the track.

Reason i dislike stoner....

All i hear is excuses, moaning, petulant stunts like that yesterday, and general negativity towards everything when he doesnt do well. As a racer he can be awsome mind you.

If that makes me a bopper then get me the paperwork and i'll sign it and become an official member.

That dont take away the hypocrasy or irony mind.

And beside all this what does bringing stoner up on acting a .... yesterday, have anything to do with bopperism? or rossi? Sorry if my ltd knowledge doesnt fully get what bopperism is, but maybe because thats because the lines are so blurred.

Funny stuff
<

We've never met a Bopper who possessed the self-awareness to acknowledge his status as a Bopper.

Already you're dragging out same old tired diatribes against Stoner and feigning blindness to the

many faults of Rossi marks you as a card-carrying member of the Rossifumi. Your lack of objectivity is

already noted in the official records.

Did rossi cut someone up yesterday and act a clown?....no

so whats your point exactly? when rossi acts a .... i will be the first to admit it(like the garage scenario).

Again you other boppers(if you cant beat them...) cant help but bring valentino into things. ahaha funny indeed.

Aye a shame, as originally it was a simple comment along the lines of "stoner acted a .... yesterday in qualifying"....

But the rossi haters cant help themselves.

I 'hate' to burst your bubble, but loaded, sweeping insults like that are not exactly going to win you the "Mr. Objectivity of the Year" award.

It was a fact.....i never bought valentino into this thread, it was acheived by the stoner segment. ^^

Seems you cant knock the man even when he's done bad.....and you talk about objectivity?

Shall we just agree to diagree and let the thread continue now?

Is that an insult then? lol

No-one requires you to like stoner; my objection was to your initial fairly transparent dissembling in what you appear to think was a subtle and clever manner. If that floats your boat do continue . My preference for trolls to be semi-literate is also a purely personal one.

I read the first couple of sentences only because i could see where you were going with this

Then may I suggest you read the rest of my post before you pass your biased opinion

And beside all this what does bringing stoner up on acting a .... yesterday, have anything to do with bopperism? or rossi?

I never said it did. The word isn't mentioned once in my post - but then by your own admission you didn't read it, so like I say don't quote me, or rather mis-quote me as a basis for your misappropriated response. Regarding Valentino, I am merely pointing out in the light of your allegations besmirching Stoner, that he is far from being whiter than white himself.
