I know I have not been on this forum in a while, but I have been busy. So I am sending in my application to AMA next week for my Jr. license. I will be racing the west coast AMA rounds at Fontana, Infineon, Miller and Laguna. I will be racing a Honda cbr600rr prepped by EDR performance in Portland. Hopefully I can get some good experience from this since I have only been riding bikes for barely 3 years. Anyways maybe I will see some of you guys out there this year!

Congrats.

Don't hit one of the Haydens, I'll never forgive you.

But I'll give you $5 if you take out Cardenas.

P.S. will you paint a macaroni noodle on your bike as your rider insignia so we will know who to root for?

Good Luck. Post a pic of your bike so we know who to give props.

Hey Ben, what can we do about giving this guy a Powerslide sticker to put on his bike?

Yeah for sure will post my number when I get it. I am trying to get 99 but we will see. It would be cool to have a powerslide sticker.

That is a popular number. I know with the AMA's old rules, a first year racer has to run a three digit number, so maybe 460 or 690?

Nah the rules are different now. Each class everyone chooses a 2-digit number so we will see what happens. Either way I will look cool in the AMA with a 2-digit number lol. Also basically the SuperSport class is red bull rookies cup on 600s since it is now under 21 only.

Sweet. I'll come by and say hello at California Speedway and Laguna. Hey, it would be cool if you put this on your bike.

Yeah sounds awesome! I am sending in my AMA application at thecend of the month. If everything goes according to plan I will be at Fontana and laguna to meet you! I am going to thunderhill and infineon at end of febuary for the bike shake down.

Well an update on the schedule. Looks like we decided not to go to Fontana. My Dad had conversation with James Randolph who is an ex-AMA rider, told him that do not even try Fontana if you have not been there. So basically gonna focus on getting time at miller infineon and laguna. Gonna do the keith code school at infineon in march instead, so I can prepare better for the AMA infineon.

Okay bikes being finished up and I am heading down the Thunderhill this weekend for the shakedown. Everything is looking good. bike makes 122 rwhp, so I should be able to keep up hahah!

Noodle, I'm jealous.

You are going to be racing in the first season of the new AMA.

Have an historic moment.

You've raced before right? Or at least done track days?

One thing I learned in cars was that the stewards are your friends. They might be a prick to you, might make backhand comments about other competitors and their lap times, but hold back. Don't burst out and kill them. Especially the AMA, if they have retained their old crew. They were always criticized as being dicks.
