I hope Honda quits, but we all know its just strong arm tactics in which they will eventually get their way. I have had the same reaction for anybody who threatens to quit over rules, Rossi 07-08, Stoner 11-12, and now Honda 12, .... them all. There is a process for rules making, Honda is part of it, despite them thinking they ARE the rules makers (since they essentially got their way for years).
agreed, just turns out one of those threats wasn't emptyalthough for the record i agree its most likely not just crts but a whole collection of reasons why he's leaving
hondas not leaving, they're just looking to get a better compromise in the technical regulations / the rookie rule
MotoGP is a sinking ship. If I were Honda I would have bailed already. Let Captain Ezy go down with the ship and once he is gone start a new truly world championship series with real prototype bikes and good governance racing on great tracks ALL around the world with riders from ALL around the world.

I tend to agree......only in part though!" class="bbc_emoticon" src="http://www.powerslide.net/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif" />
Honda have of course been the main contributor to the demise of Motogp with the inherent pressure to introduce the 800cc class in the first place, so they ...... it and now they want to .... off! ......kids....toys.....throwing.......cot....... The new 1000's aren't really that much different from the previous era, and certainly a long way off the 990's, I'm sure many in the ranks of management know this, but don't know how to return it, or moreso how to back away from what they've created with the major assistance of one big 'H'
WSBK is a far better spectacle, anyone of 5-6 riders can win on any given weekend, they have rubber which is varied in choice and performance, and a field of machines built entirely by separate manufacturers, not the 'Chassis cup' that we see in some of the supposed 'Premier Class'. For most punters, even the most staunch supports, the 2-3 second a lap difference between a Motogp bike and a WSBK makes no difference when the racing is that good.
If Hayden, Edwards, Spies and Rossi jumped ship the WSBK-it would be the end of Motogp..........In a way I hope it happens, as they are not heading the right way, and have not been for 5 years now.
The 800's would have had no impact on the success of MotoGP had Dorna been promoting the sport and expanding it's international flavour rather than contracting it.
The problem with MotoGp and the wild and ridiculous rule changes that are coming thick and fast is 100% due to a lack of revenues and has nothing to do with Honda, 800's, fuel regs or control tyre.
People will flock to what ever they are sold. The quality of the product is really a minor concern for the majority. Hardcore fans of course will understand the product in much more depth and recognise quality or the lack of it but the sheeple just suck up what they are sold. Dorna have failed in epic proportions to sell MotoGP.
Honda should take their $400 Million Budget and .... off.
