hahaha

The British pissed or the American pissed ??

Thought you said it wasn't an Impreza? STi/WRX - all the same mate, you're just kidding yourself with semantics.

I own and have owned some .... cars in my time, Audi, Citroen, Subaru, but never a beemer... when you set yourself a budget of $2000/1000 squid for a car, you are spoiled for choice, but anything from Munich in that price range is complete dross. A 2CV, though - that could represent some serious motoring.
And there you show you have no clue what you're talking about. STi and WRX are very different in many ways. Mine is quite different again. But hey, you think what you like mate.

Your bag of ..... is only good for running over nervous pedestrians on the streets of Southampton...I have seen the evidence personally

Its also good for tours of the local football venue. Albeit, a .3 sec tour.

Burden of proof? This is an internet message board, not a congressional hearing. Not to say this practice is right or wrong, but the information presented here likely would be considered legitimate enough to publish by some, maybe many, websites/newspapers/magazines with coverage of the sport.

It's a quite basic and reasonable concept, no need for the hyperbole of 'congressional hearing'. And then to invoke websites/newspapers/magazines as examples of probity regarding reporting is just grasping. MCN? Soup? AMCN? The bar you set is remarkably low, but unfortunately accurate.

Anyhoo. Thus far, the proddy is >1 second slower than Bradl's satellite. I do hope Nicky can do something useful with it. Otherwise we're just seeing another tier slotted in between the Sats and the CRTs (Non-MSMA/spec ECU/tyre choice/engine quantities/fuel capacity/blah bikes)

An educated guess?? oh that's a very bizarre but cool skill. What car does DR NO drive ?

Well, if we neglect the stupid flamethrower dragon....my car turned 52 this year. Had it for almost 20.

Testing RCV1000R Day One. Not quite the factory-bike killer some anticipated. Looking forward to seeing Nick on the bike today, he should give a better yardstick than Redding/Aoyama. I am thinking that the previously quoted lap times on this thread say more about Casey's ability than the RCVs….

Next time we meet i'm going to show you the blue goldfish as you like blue so much !

I have no idea what that means but I'm sufficiently terrified.

All I'm saying is this is an informal medium to exchange ideas, info, and gossip. And I'll agree that the bar is set low, but offer that I enjoy reading the tabloid rubbish of this sport. (Also, I'm insulted that you'd insinuate I read Soup.)

I'm disappointed by the pace thus far, but at the moment I'm chalking that up to Hiro not being relevant since 2009 and Scotty Too Hottie having a bum everything.

If HRC had posted accurate and consistent times from Casey's best laps, I don't think any rider would approach those times with any regularity. Casey has made this bike look better than it is. But he's done that before, no surprise. This Honda will be a 7-8th place bike. Casey would be good for perhaps 5th but anything more is unreasonable. Nicky will place it 6-8.

Not driven one yet but they look cool. There is some sort of agreement in the uk, not sure about other countrys. Subaru can only sell 1 BRZ to every 40 Toyota GT86's. There is about 6k in price difference (subaru dearer) i believe for basically the same car with different badges.

check out this bad boy.

They look even better with 18 inch Advan alloys and after market brakes of an appropriate hue. They respond well to tuning. I have refrained from chipping it and an after market exhaust thus far but will doubtless succumb to my inner rev head. Wouldn't supercharge or turbocharge it though, although the base engine which is by Subaru is said to be better than the base WRX (not STi obviously ) engine. It has the manual gearbox from the Lexus IS 250 which is quite nice.

The Toyota comes in two specifications here, with the Subaru mid way in between hence the prices. I could only get the Toyota GT due to the wait at the time, but it is 60 kg lighter than the GTS and mechanically identical except for smaller front brakes, hence my after market brakes. The Subaru is mechanically identical but half way between the two Toyotas in interior specifications, with a slightly different nose; I prefer the nose on the Toyota. The initial run of Subarus in Australia were sold exclusively on line and went in about an hour

Honda confirmed the RCV only has a 23L tank. Don't need anymore and can "use the space for other things".
