He knows his stuff, the guy who remapped mine works for m sport, when I got it it had 300 bhp and 440 ft lbs, now it has 380 bhp but 660 ft lbs, all that torque at under 2000rpm makes it a fun car, you don't have to be going fast to have a lot of fun, and it still does 40mpg.

Thats good figures. I make 440 ft/lb at 3200 rpm and about 380bhp at 4200rpm. Holds most of that upto 7000rpm. Only trouble with mine is i only average 18mpg and it has to rum on 99ron fuel.

Good figures. The only thing I don't like with mine is it hits a brick wall at 4500rpm, its the first diesel I have had, but I have got used to not revving it and using the torque curve.

Yeah, the way to drive them is short shift at low revs. Mine makes power everywhere in the rev range. Im making max boost at about 3500 rpm so it just powers to the red line. I normally shift gears at about 5500-6500 rpm but i have flat foor shift mapped in and a prodrive quick shift gear selector. Also its quite close ratio being a 6 speed box. All helps to keep it in the boost zone

A guy I used to work with had a DAX cobra kit, Jag running gear, and a twin turbo 502ci chevy, 100% true 700bhp, it was ....... mental, fastest car ive ever been in.

Mental power for a road car. I expect their quite light too. I know a bloke who has a classic shape Impreza. He uses it as a daily driver which is insane given its making 1050 bhp. He still has 300 bhp of nos he is yet to use and more boost available. Traction is his issue, ran an 8.2 quarter mile.

The Russians built a submarine with a titanium inner hull that could dive to 1300m, in theory, and did actually dive to 1090m.

Well, it's as on-topic as anything on this page :)

Well there isn't a lot more to say on topic until after testing or next years season. Hey me and insider are making friends talking about engineering / tuning. That has to be a good thing ?

8.2 seconds is very bloody quick, The cobra was very light, but as you say traction was a big issue, his party trick was doing 50 in top gear, flooring it and just letting it build itself up, in that situation it felt bloody fast.

Yeah, it's fine. I'm just pulling posters' chains :)

I'm looking forward to seeing the results of testing with the proddy racer.
