So have we decided whether Rossi is gracious in defeat yet?
Yes it has been unanimously decided that he was "gracious" in his defeat by some so called pundits here.
P.S. Before you guys jump the gun, know that I am not totally sold on his idea of the way he handled MM in Sepang. He could have been more subtle and ...... that ....... son of a ...... This is what I believe gives power to lots of losers here to claim that he has been an unworthy rider all the way. Non of his podiums and especially his win at Assen this year counts if you believe some of the folks here.
Anyways I look forward to Ducatis performing well this year. Very interested in Redding showing these factory riders how it's done and that too a Pramac Duc. I hope he carries the motivation and the feeling with the bike

MM did nothing wrong at Sepang.

Racing someone hard is not against the rules, championship contender or not.

Rossi himself had no problem doing the same thing to Lorenzo in 2010 at Motegi.

Rossi was an unworthy rider as it pertained to the championship, and fortunately he did not win the title. It would have been the most tainted title in MotoGP history.

Really, thats what you deduced from this thread. I think its unanimous that he acted like a ..... and is one of the sorest losers in the history of sport.

Im sure Uccio would be upset if Rossi was ....... anyone but him. Marquez as far as i know was not born out of wedlock and from all indications his mother is a very pleasant lady.

I must admit I've been following motorcycle racing since 1993 and never in any series have I ever seen a rider accuse rivals of ganging up on him, it's utterly bizarre, I've never seen a meltdown like it.

And i have been following bike racing, and in particular GP since the early 70's and have never seen a rider accuse others, especially his own teammate of ganging up to purposely cost him a title. Make no mistake, Rossi had a psychotic break in a moment of panic. That will be his legacy to many GP fans

It's so easy to get negative emotions out of the people here. I was just joking. I personally disagree with a lot of comments against Rossi here. I mean it's not easy being competitive at such age.
Look forward to new guys battling it out

I'm telling you Ji - regardless of whether or not you like MM, what the pundits say is totally moot. It's the end of the year and there's not much hard news and journos are mostly writing fluff pieces to fill space in magazines and on blogs. In a case like this they're not going to dig too deeply into matters of character - especially one as influential as Rossi's. Any perceived "graciousness" is just a professional veneer that Rossi, as a Yamaha employee, is paid to exude. Part of being a racer at that level is Public Relations - and Rossi is contractually obliged to uphold certain standards in that regard. He was at the center of an embarrassing controversy that brought a great deal of shame to Yamaha and he's now in the process of doing damage control. The public face of Rossi is bought and paid for by Yamaha and reveals nothing of the private Rossi. To think otherwise - would be naive.

Haha. Well I tried to wriggle out before horde of haters pounce and brainwash me into accepting their point, where's the individuality then. And frankly I cannot carry on a tirade of profanities just to prove my point. Some of the guys here have some stamina to keep on hammering till victory

It wouldn't have anything to do with your position not holding up to scrutiny would it? :)

Scrutiny or butchery[emoji12]
Thats a good comeback Raf.

I can see why it would look like butchery, getting one's logic and misplaced faith easily hacked to pieces must be unpleasant.

Yeah and with what? Hearsay? Read somewhere? Unless you have been personally managing a MotoGP team and part of the inner group, media just filters out facts and presents the juicy stuff. Now if you have read Stoner's biography, will you get good views on his arch rival?
So if you're a Stoner or Lorenzo or a Marquez fan, do you have to always shoot down a Rossi fan (which I am not).
So let's call it a day now..Will ya??

This is hilarious Rafs. How did you develop your position to believe Marquez was guilty of employing weapons of mass destruction against Rossi? Were you managing your own GP team? Haha, you wouldn't be the first here. So how did you formulate your opinion of dubious Marquez? Hearsay, read it somewhere, or worse, because Rossi said he was destroying his title?

Tell me, when did you formulate your opinion of Marquez? Was it at Phillip Island (because that's when Rossi thinks it started) or was it at Sepang (that's when you heard about it)?

"So let's call it a day now..Will ya??" Already tired of having to examine your 'beliefs'?

Isn't public face in any sports always sponsored??

Yes - but clearly Rossi lost his .... and and made damaging statements that were unprofessional when his facade failed him and it reflected badly on him and Yamaha, hence, "Damage Control".

Jumkie...if you have the time and patience then you may want to go through my posts. I still do not have an opinion on the entire Sepang incident. While you call it a night and day situation that Rossi was wrong, I do not have a clear answer on that. What went into his mind who know? At such a point in career what he did just that justify, I don't know. Coz I was not the one riding that M1. I was not the one on RCV who was fighting for his position or playing tactics? We get limited viewing angles in which ever version of the race we watch it. So I do not have an opinion on that.
Am actually more keen and looking forward to the next season.
