Absolutely. That was his big problem last season, he crashed out 6 times pushing too hard early with a full fuel load, but was apparently obliged to continue riding that way for the whole season to facilitate Rossi's title challenge.^^^ not to mention the front end problems Marquez has had this year with a full fuel load.
Again - BS.
There was a total of 57 overtakes (from memory - these were counted by a female journalist)between all 4 (read them, 4) riders which includes Marquez, Lorenzo, Ianonne and Rossi. From memory Iannonne complete 19 overtakes and (again from memory) Rossi was around 15, Marquez was around 17 and JL was the remaining.
EDIT - found the correct figures - refer to the bottom of this post
Race management, look it up sometime
Oh, and if he failed to get away, why then did he still finish in front of those two riders who overtook one another more times than the word Rossi is mentioned in this forum.
Again .......... warm up and races are conducted under different conditions - else please explain why a guy in a dry morning warm up may well be uncompetitive if the race is wet. Conditions and that includes weather, track, tyres and bike setup (Sepang is actually notorious in terms of humidity impact on bikes and riders)
No you need to open your eyes - for a number of reasons.
1. MANY, races at Valencia are won by a rider who has led all laps - if my memory serves correct it is something like 5 of the last 9, or 4 of the last 8 prior to 2015
2. Jorge Lorenzo led the most laps throughout the season which tends to indicate that he is difficult to pass when he is 'in the zone'.
2. The WORLD CHAMPION FOR THE YEAR 2015 is a dude called Jorge Lorenzo who accumulated the most points across a season ............ that is a FACT and will remain so until such time as the earth implodes on it's own axis
EDIT:
Found it - https://www.instagram.com/p/8-yoabRWrC/
Ianonne - 18
Marquez - 16
Rossi - 11
Lorenzo - 7
Now, adding Rossi (11) plus Ianonne (18) is 29 overtakes for those two riders not the claimed 50 (which admittedly is down from the 75 of last week)
To add her comments (I have highlighted a very relevant section in bold):
tamgoraliAfter a long nap sat down to count passes.
52 in total for the top 4.
Most passes were by @andreaiannone with 18. Second place to @marcmarquez93 with 16. Third place to @valeyellow46 with 11 and @jorgelorenzo99 as he led most of the time with 7 passes only.
There were only 2 double passes VR on DP+CC to 4th position and AI to 2 a pass on VR + MM.
Highest position for VR was second and lasted only 2 corners.

Read the comments after article. While you still have the boppers saying stuff like they hope Lorenzo crash's and burns to death, the majority of
comments are telling Rossi to stfu and race, you have to earn respect . Many saw what really happened at Sepang and Valencia and lost respect for Rossi.

Couldn't agree more. Everyone seemed to be talking about how we had never seen a race so thrilling and entertaining for years. No one seemed to even so much as question any of the riders actions during the race. Shortly after that though (Sepang conference) the 2015 season got tainted with off-track speculation. Talk about going from a great high to a great low.Destroyed Dr No, because Valentino Rossi and his ego realised that in a race that was described "THE race of the modern era/decade", he finished 4th.

Valentino Rossi 'thinks' he is over the disappointment of losing the 2015 MotoGP title at the very final round.
But that doesn't mean he has softened his stance on the controversy with Marc Marquez during the closing races of the season.
Speaking during Monday's Movistar Yamaha launch, the only clarification Rossi made was addressed to those who feel the Italian lit the fuse for his own downfall by attacking Marquez in the Sepang pre-event press conference.
“I don't agree with those who say Marquez acted against me after the press conference at Sepang,” Rossi said. “He had already decided to do everything possible so that I did not win the title. My statements did not change anything.”
Rossi accused Marquez of trying to help Jorge Lorenzo in Australia, adding that the Honda rider was “angry and thinking like a child” following their earlier clashes and saw a title win for Lorenzo as “the lesser evil.”
Against that backdrop, Marquez and Rossi then battled furiously over third place in the Malaysian race, until Rossi lost his cool and forced Marquez wide. Contact was made, leaving Marquez on the ground and Rossi with three penalty points.
Due to an earlier penalty point, the Yamaha rider was demoted to last on the grid at Valencia, where he lost the championship to team-mate Lorenzo.
Marquez rejects Rossi's claims, pointing out he passed Lorenzo on the last lap for victory in Australia and saying he wanted to break away from Rossi at Sepang.
The double MotoGP champion was again in Rossi's sights after finishing a close second to Lorenzo in Valencia, where Rossi declared the Honda rider "wanted to finish his work and protect Lorenzo".
“If the target was [to help Lorenzo] I would have stayed ten seconds behind and not taken any risks... When people say you didn't try to win the race, I feel insulted,” Marquez responded.
Rossi and Lorenzo briefly shook hands at the 2016 Yamaha launch, the nine time world champion explaining they are “team-mates and must be professional enough to put personal problems aside and work together at Yamaha.”
But he has no need for such a relationship with Marquez: “Fortunately, Marquez is not in my team!”
Valentino Rossi has said it took him two weeks at home, doing nothing, to recover from the 'big disappointment' of narrowly losing out in a hotly contested MotoGP championship battle with team-mate Jorge Lorenzo.
Majorcan Lorenzo won the title by five points after the now infamous incident in Sepang between Rossi and Marc Marquez resulted in a penalty, which caused the Italian to start the final race of the year from the back of the grid.
While, in Rossi's eyes, the race in Valencia was won in controversial circumstances, with the Yamaha man subsequently stating that Marquez had aided Lorenzo in his quest for a third premier class title, the nine-time world champion said the Monza rally in late November helped him 'to think of the future.'
“At the beginning the first period after the race in Valencia was the most difficult thing,” said Rossi as he fielded questions from the English-speaking media at Movistar Yamaha's team launch in Barcelona. “The first two weeks back home was the most difficult moment. The disappointment was very big. But [I did] nothing special. I stayed at home and relaxed to wait for this feeling to go away.
“For my winter it was very important the Rally of Monza because I stayed two weeks at home. Then I had to restart for another race and that's what I needed. To drive and enjoy. Sincerely that weekend was the disappointment finished and I started to think of the future.”
In the main presentation, Rossi spoke of the need to give “a great effort to stay at the same level as the last two years” but later revealed that other than fine-tuning some details, his preparation for the upcoming test in Sepang will couple cardio work and his usual on-track activities at his ranch in Italy.
“We always try to make the normal things at the gym, the normal preparation. Like the cardio because it will be very hot in Malaysia. But the target is to arrive ready for the first race, not now. We have a bit of time.
“Apart from the normal training we try/do use the motorcycle, to do some different things, to improve the control on the bike, to control the slides. It looks like we always try to improve the small details but for the rest it is the same.
“What we tried to do with the bike is something more general. The riding style with the Michelin will be different. It's very difficult to make something special for that. The best training is to go on the M1 with the Michelin because it's very difficult to recreate the same conditions with a different bike.”
Looking ahead to 2016, a year in which all riders will switch to Michelin tyres and spec Magneti Marelli electronic software, Rossi feels that his main competitors will be the same. However, in his opinion, other riders and manufacturers – like Suzuki – “can come closer.”
“First of all I want to say that the most difficult riders to beat always are Lorenzo, Marquez and [Dani] Pedrosa. But I think that with these new rules the other guys with the satellite riders and other factories, like the Suzuki and other smaller teams, can come closer. Maybe the fight will not be just our four. Also there could be more riders.”
Before Christmas Rossi also dropped his appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport for his grid penalty in Valencia. It was, he said, futile in continuing the process after the outcome of the title could not be reversed.
“Our objective was to not start last in Valencia. That was important for me. When this possibility was delayed it's not important to continue for me to take one point less. They said to us 'No' for Valencia and I had no interest to continue.”
Not a good sign for 2016. At this rate, I think Rossi's final moan is going to be something along the lines of "I'm quitting MotoGp because Marquez won't play fair"As per the title of this thread, I'd hardly call Rossi "Gracious in Defeat"...still harping on about it in the new year. From Crashnet
He may be able to convince his ........ fans that something was amiss at Valencia, but it takes a special kind dumb to get onboard that Marquez helped Lorenzo after taking 5 incredibly huge points from him. Marquez can't see the future and had no idea how things would go at Sepang or Valencia. If he was trying to help Lorenzo, no way does he take those points at PI knowing Rossi historically was better than Lorenzo at Sepang
... Something happened at the end of the season last year...
Mm don't want to be a jerk but Rossi finished behind both Marquez and Lorenzo in 2013 and I don't remember people acting like this. Rossi finished behind Marquez in 2013 but I don't remember people "insulting" MM. Something happened at the end of the season last year, some people are happy about it, other are mad.
