Sorry pal, I admire and follow Jorge and Cal as much as I follow Rossi and just like I followed Doohan Cadalora and MacKenzie. I also enjoy watching boners squirm when their boy ..... up, it's all a bit o fun and they will all be gone when stoner goes back to the bush. Stoner has a history of chucking it under pressure, an today was no different. As has been said, close the door behind you casey

If he chucked it he chucked it, and he can afford no more this year, but I have managed to overcome my panic at his first self induced crash for about 30 races. The amusing thing is the attitude of self proclaimed true fans of the sport to the incident, most of whom claimed that valentino was just trying to win the race with that ridiculous attempted pass at jerez last year. Stoner's ambition did it would seem exceed his talent in this particular corner, but he at least managed to exceed his talent without taking out any championship contenders other than himself.

By golly I did say that too, oh silly me!! Now a bunch of adolescent ......s from the other side of the earth are going to show their intelligence and use that somehow on me!! ........ drat! foiled again!

It's not you, it's all the dumb .... you say.

When I found out that persecution complex was a real thing I immediately thought of CS and his fans

The next part is spot on

If durians, smelly tofu & etc are to become humans. They will be listed in the pitiful group because, people only judging them with their appearance & flaws. But not their hearts, they might look ugly or smelly like .... on the outside. But inside of them is a heart of gold, because people out there only likes to judge things from the outside, but not the inside. But no matter how nasty comments that people said about them, their value in their hearts will always be gold.

1. We can’t expect everybody to be the same. Then this world will be imbalance & boring.

2. Everybody has sides, flaws & strength.

3. Always try to see things in a positive way.

4. Look at the mirror first, before you judge others

You gotta admit though it was a great duel.

Beattie says he still thinks its between Stoner and Lorenzo because he doesn't think Dani can maintain it race after race. Still its a great WC this year, 3 riders so close .......... it will likely go down to Valencia!!

Great ride by Asimo for a change.

Bad mistake by Stoner (whatever the excuse).

Now, after 7 pages bitching, I find it laughable that the "true fans"of the sport are taking great pleasure in Stoners off. There was a chance for the top 3 riders to be within 10 points of each other at the end of this race & would have made for a great 2nd half of the championship. It would seem that people would rather see Stoner bin it than have a close championship. So to all the dicks rejoicing in Stoners mistake-.... off. Your not "true fans", you are just sad ..... who get pleasure out of the misfortune of others.

Not true in all cases, actually Karma is a ....., and most knew that the 'Ambition/Talent' comment would come back to bite Stoner on the ..., and Yesterday it did-as his entry into that turn was never on.

I'm not having a go at Stoner for having a go on track-in fact good on him-he made a race of it when he could have settled for second, I'm having a go at the stupid .... he says afterwards-like in Jerez last year, which ironically now can be directly referred back to him-the stupid .... he always says which brings on the public dislike of him, Dani has the right to ask the question 'Casey, did your ambition outweigh your talent? I'm glad you didn't take me out as well'........but Dani won't because he knows it was a racing incident. And the Marshal's comments are an utter disgrace.

Fantastic ride by Pedrosa and IMO the best I have seem from him given the sustained pressure and quality laps being run by both he and Stoner. A thoroughly deserved win and personally one that should allow him a smile as pressure eases as to his position within teh team - fantastic and well done Pedrosa

Not at all surprised to come on here and read the usual 'Stoner/Moaner/Crashey' crap but the sheer fact is that he crashed whilst attemtping an overtake two corners from home. Yes as some may wish to say he could have settled for the points but he is also battling Pedrosa for the title and not just Lorenzo so whilst it may well have been a points gain on one, it was to be a points loss to the other. As for the comments regarding marshalls I have only seen that in one or two places so will reserve judgement on these comments but if said as written that is unfortunate as it is a totally different scenario to that at Jerez.

Lorenzo, a good solid race. Nothing outstanding nor even close to brilliant but it is a bogey track for him and he leaves in a good championship position but will be disappointed and possibly concerned by the result and gap to the Honda pairing

Dovisioso a great ride. Someone give this boy a factory ride as he is showinmg that he is totally deserving and would (IMO) be a great and worthwhile team-mate for Lorenzo.

Spies (can see the steam emanating again from the US) somewhat disappointing but also somewhat promising. Beaten by a satellite bike but in all fairness Dovi is a damn good rider but Spies does need to really get teh act together

Bradl - damn good solid performance on a bike that (from what little coverage I saw of him) did not look anywhere near settled. A very good result given he was under constant pressure and yet never really looked out of his depth and dare I suggest it but looks good for the future.

As for the rest, well Crutchlow blew a decent opportunity with a slight error but within the context of future possibilitiest hat could well have been a decisive factor. But for me, I enjoyed watching Barbera mix it up with the factory Ducatis as it was fun to do a comparison of riding styles and bike behaviours but a big congratulations to Barbera for a damn fine ride.

IMO again, Stoner made an error but in general terms I have no issues with him failing given he is a racer first and foremost and wanted to win, but all credit to Pedrosa for putting Stoner in the position and maintaining it, fantastic.

And so far it is excellent to read a post that is not mentioning boring races or tyres.

Yep, and he also had a sook about the engine rule, he blamed Dorna of course. Kropo has a great piece on his site about it and he's asking the same things that many of us have. Why does the moaner and his fans continue to keep blaming the wrong people in all his sooks. The engine rule clearly came from the MSMA and Honda is actually asking to go down to 5 engines in the future for those of you who haven't been keeping tabs. He's lucky Dorna don't go on the counter offensive and ask him to prove all the BS that comes out of his mouth.

Firstly i only quoted what parish had said, secondly you don't really know me after one brief meeting so don't assume my life history buddy.

Well Rog.... I may have only met you in the flesh over the course of one weekend at Laguna - but we've been dialoging back and forth now

since 2006? I may not have read your biography and met your parents or interviewed your grade school teacher - but I think I can say with

a reasonable degree of certainty that I have a fairly rounded out picture of who you are. Don't draw conclusions from the way I tend to lampoon (nothing like a harpoon) you citing only the cliff-notes. Over all the zillions of posts that we all put up here - knowingly or not - we all tend to paint a pretty good picture of ourselves, and yet we continue to have these crazy conversations anyway. Friendship - or so I'm told - is often stronger despite apparent differences. This forum is pretty good proof of that.

And the Marshal's comments are an utter disgrace.

Try to play the ball instead of the man for once. The problem imo is when some marshalls take the risk and push a rider back on track, while others dont. In every case they are in danger, so the rule should be very simple. No pushing dead engine bikes under any circumstance, no exceptions allowed. Then when Stoner mouths off about marshalls fine him, but at the moment DORNA dont have a leg to stand on, they have an anything goes policy.

Waffles Pete. You don't follow any of them with the same passion you follow Vale. 2 podiums in 1 and a half years has just kept you quiet thats all.

But don't worry I enjoy the piss take too & will suck it up seeing our guy ...... up.

False, race direction controls the marshals. You should go read the piece on Krops site since you don't know or understand the rules. Just like when Stacey used to moan about slower riders during practice and most of you didn't know about the blue flag.

I agree that his attitude to the marshalls is wrong if his "tweet" has been correctly quoted and in context, their first duty is (or should be) the safety of themselves and the riders, including stoner in this situation. As garry (an experienced bike racing marshall himself btw) says there is no consistent policy though, and the marshalls re-starting valentino and ignoring him after valentino took him out last year obviously still rankles, unreasonable though that may be.

I was not really upset by this off, certainly not in comparison with the jerez thing since this was actually stoner's error, and as keshav says that's racing. It is amusing to watch the cool rationalists critical of "neoboppers" engaging in behaviour which they criticise in others, not that many of we neoboppers rejoice in rossi crashing, and the off is almost worth it to see them so display themselves.

Usually there is a reason why the marshals won't help some riders. It really depends on where you crash. Race Direction keeps a watchful eye on all crashes around the circuit, and if a bike ends up in a hazardous place, then Race Direction can tell the marshals to clear the bike as quickly as possible, rather than trying to help restart it. The bottom of the hill at the Sachsenring, with the fastest approach to a corner anywhere on the track, could probably be considered as a hazardous location.

Except that he gave neither pedrosa nor lorenzo any cause for recriminations, and was trying to set himself to make a pass in the following corner(s)rather than attempting an unfeasible pass, and even with his talent it would be perhaps difficult to lowside into a rider in front of him whilst on the edge of the track. He hence would have had to tell himself that his ambition outweighed his talent, which may have been appropriate.

Hawk, suggest it is you who should read the rules as the Blue Flag was never used in practice until very recently (and it may well even be this year with the advent of CRT machines).

The blue flag definitions have been changed slightly in recent times (I have only noticed it in the 2012 book, will try to find my 2011) in that in the past the definition was (paraphrased) 'you are about to be lapped' whereas now it indicates 'faster rider approaching, prepare to be overtaken'.

In all of my experiences at tracks I have never seen the Blue Flag used in practice (will check with a few MGP marshalls I know) but have seen it used in races.

Stoner's issue with slower riders (which seems shared by many ..................... with the numbers growing in 2012) is that they would not get out of the way but the simplistics were that they did not know he was coming (there are exceptions to this of course where a rider made a bad choice and went the wrong way ....... an easy mistake)

Riders shouldn't criticise marshalls unless they have neglected rather than carried out their primary duty of ensuring safety , but any place on the track where a rider has crashed could perhaps be considered a place where riders are liable to crash.

As a marshall you are told never to place yourself in danger, yet at the same time you have to place yourself in danger to retreive a bike or rider so there is certainly gross levels of hypocrisy between the 'spoken' and the 'done' .

But when marshalling you also know the risks and accept them and at MGP level these teams of marshalls are generally well schooled in the requirements of what they need to do and when, even in some cases going as far as to have practice drills with marshalls running certain lines etc through gravel. Certainly there are still some pockets of marshalls who have a long way to go with respects to the organisation of themselves and their teams but what I saw in Germany does not put these teams anywhere near the bottom (in typical German fashion one could say they are nearer the top)

With regards to Stoner's comments I have not yet seen them reported in full anywhere nor heard what was said with the exception of some with definite vested hatred of Stoner (will check Krop shortly) but if true then I do hope he has an emptier pocket as a result

Rog, FWIW but some of the corner marshall's at some locations are now reportedly paid (all generally receive benefits be that camping, tickets etc) but I have been told that some of the corner leaders are paid, but then they also generally aret not the people running in the gravel placing themselves in danger.

Luckily no, he didn't, however the proximity of the racing and indeed the incident means that it was moreso luck that Dani wasn't taken out. The intent was the same-what he was attempting was unfeasible, way too hot into the corner, too much angle lost the front. Rossi's was at least in the very unpredictable wet-on the Ducati! Alvaro was also 'Lucky' he didn't take out Rossi and Bradl with his ....... move yesterday.

And when Casey reminds himself of his own Ambitions and Talent, maybe he can also reflect on how not so long ago he saw himself fit to advise the 9 time world champion on the same subject.........

Maybe then Casey should go and apologize to the Marshal's........and give them some advice on Ambition
