German MotoGP Race Thread: Spoilers!

He fell in practice under the same circumstances numb nutts
<
That was my point !

Everybody falls in practice. It's the race that we're discussing. Conditions during racing are entirely different.

Ambient and track temperatures are different, possibly choice of tire, and dryness of track.... yah feckin' teabag!
<

My View. Danny, awsome display. Casey, top effort crashed trying his best. Jorge, keeping the championship alive on a tyre that needs burning around the neck of Ezy. Dovi, solid ride as expected even on that oh so obviously slow bike in comparison to the fatory kit. Ben, you are a ....... road block. Cal, ran of trying as hard as you allways do and you should be proud considering who you are racing with. Every body else, you ride as hard as you can and came home in one piece, well done. VR stop now,you are a 9 times winner and you make less effort than anyone but take all the money. Disgracefull.

One thing with Cal and Dovi, damn those boys are trying and giving 110%

Chopper i couldnt agree more, puts a very well paid so called god in perspective.

well ive always said he is a man that needs incentives. Money is not the incentive but breaking records is. Doesn't look like the Duc is about to break any records (well the the ones you want to be remembered for)

It's hard to aim accurately when you have no clear achievable target.

Agreed, sort of, the target was to turn it around and weather the factory cant or he cant tell the truth and walk away, riding round aint no good.

Edit. to be honest im loosing all respect and i bet im not alone.

I have not lost all respect, after all today he was top duc and is pretty consistent in results. At least the lad can still keep a smile on his face, not like marco sat against the wall crying his eyes out. For the record i was a melandri fan. He has had it real tough but still sticks it out and for the most part remains positive. Surely that deserves some respect for that?

Okay - since you appear incapable of putting 2 X 2 together - allow me to work it out for you. Maybe it's that metric thing that's screwing you up. During the course of all the free practices and the qualifying practice - how many times did Mr. Stoner pass over the same exact bump without mishap? Then my son, ask yourself, how many times during all those laps did he crash? Now divide the first number by the second and see if you can suss out what the odds were that he would crash again? More importantly - explain how practice is not about overcoming all obstacles (including a bump or a chassis issue) in order to achieve a fast lap? If racers were to totally avoid every pimple and crack on the surface - nobody would go anywhere at all. To that end, they P-R-A-C-T-I-C-E making the best of it and where possible, overcoming deficiencies in the track surface. Hopefully this will penetrate yer thick noggin - yah silly git.

Jesus H Christ. are you

A. thick as ....

B cant read

C such a total fanboy you deliberately miss the point because it make you sleep tight ???

Stoner lean angle was an incredible 58 when he crashed. This was over the limit here as he should have learned in practice (where he also crashed) at the same angle. What dont you get numb nutts ?

Post race interviews! If you have a video pass, all this speculation is simply unnecessary. Stoner says he made a mistake, Spies says his setup was ...., Nicky says rear grip was a big problem, Cal says nothing, and the rest say the same thing they always say.

He'd been achieving that angle of lean throughout the race. .... happens. Because he fell - that entitles an armchair racer like yourself to second guess him? Pffft! Have you noticed that the more reasonable I am - the more insulting you get? It always upsets you when simple minded gratuitous hate-inspired nonsense doesn't cancel out reasoned and rational logic.

What a loads of crap. Even the commentators said 58 was beyond the point of grip. Your the armchair expert but offer nothing to the debate other than fan boy opinion. How have i insulted you numb nutts ? Thats nothing stronger than your banter so stop crying like a past it .....

I'm loosing all respect for Stoner myself, after his runaway season last year I thought he had overcome the whole falling apart under pressure thing. Sadly, he's back to his old ways.

This has just appeared on my Motogp facebook.

Stoner: "I'm pretty disappointed, I had planned to go for my 'win or bin' effort in the last corner, not that one! I'm frustrated I wasn't allowed to get up and try and score some points, the bike was perfect, but the marshals pushed me away."
