German MotoGP Race Thread: Spoilers!

I would have thought trying to win a race in the last corner regardless of the championship has been the source of much (correct imo) praise for rossi over much of his career. Since stoner can't match rossi for wins or championships now and hence any success he has is irrelevant according to you guys, if he wants to race surely you guys should have no problem. Won't stop him winning the championship now honda have sorted the bike/chassis unless dani and jorge are better than him anyway, and in a way he probably didn't want to beat jorge due to bautista's bonehead move anyway.

Love it, thoughtful Casey decides to crash rather than lead the championship due to Lorenzo being punted off. Maybe he saw a lost kitten and it took his attention. Awesome!

I thought you were a fan of riders who liked to race. What are you going to criticise him for next time, checking out or settling for a safe second ?, which look likely to be his alternatives in the next race unless dorna change the tyres or bike weight again. That irony thing perhaps comes in again, in terms of which of us is a hater.



Very cool and mature race ridden by dani, might be finally his year as the bike certainly looks competitive, presumably despite stoner's best efforts.

I think casey hit a bump with too much lean angle, that's only going to force the front wheel up and tuck. Silly move with 20 pts on the table.

xmas came early for Lorenzo

Dovi proves he deserves a factory ride again.

Cal needs to use more brain and less right wrist at times.

Another bone head move by bautista but got away with it.

Ducati need to put more effort into this. As jb said. Honda bought loads of chassis to assen to try, ducati bought .... all.

Loads? Is one a load? Well apparently the only load it was was a load of crap. Both riders scrapped it immediately. Laughable when people claim Ducati not trying. They have only totally redesigned the bike. About all there is left to do is change the name on it.

You forget I am also a Jorge fan, so am celebrating 2nd place and a 20 point title lead. Anyway, am off to get some more bait from the freezer, the fishing looks good today.

Credit to dani for winning it as I said, and to stoner for going for the win when he could have settled for second, usually regarded as a positive thing including by the respondents concerned. Having never rejoiced in any race crash of valentino's (or anyone else's) which I have induced a scottish fly fisher to do, I am merely noting this for future reference.

You can be sure BS was working round the clock making fresh tires for this race

with jobs on the line in the event of ....-ups. Word on the street is when they were

reconfiguring the compound they added in fewer used pencil erasers in the batch.

It was a ballsy move. Can't say if it hadn't rained just then that he'd have made the pass- but he could well have still finished 2nd.

That's racing. Like Mike said, looks like the Honda is sorted out. Almost no straightaway at Sachenring. Bikes constantly on their

side and no sign of chatter problems. Yamaha's famous best handling is no longer enough.

I think honda may have sorted the chatter and the tyres with the new chassis, stoner and pedrosa were consistently fast in the one dry practice, with jorge only approaching them on the odd lap. They couldn't ride the new hard tyre at all with the old chassis due to chatter.

So ....... fed up of the BBC 'live rights'. Still waiting to watch the race on British Eurosport rather than allow Parish and Cox completely ruin it. Fourth season of this ..... Nonetheless enjoying a great live Moto 3 Race on Eurosport. Full main race to follow.

I actually looked up some information about the climate of the Orkney Islands the other day; I was aware of the effects of the Gulf Stream, and maritime climates on islands, having been good at geography at school, long ago though that was. It was interesting actually, I always wondered why the British naval base of WW1 and WW2, Scapa Flow, had a norse name. The author of the article stressed very early that the climate was mild and suited to agriculture and human habitation, his point somewhat diminished by a later historical reference to Orkney Islanders being preferred employees of the Hudson Bay Company because they were inured to the cold.
