I really hope they bring it back... it's a track where you really don't know the outcome of the race. Alot of unexpected teams finishing higher up. And it was also where my man Takuma Sato in his Super Aguri overtook arrogant Alonso in his Mclaren.

FERNANDO ALONSO ONCE AGAIN SHOWED HE IS THE BEST F1 DRIVER
<
<

Lewis still has the best chances to win the title, but FA IS the better driver without a doubt! I seriously dont get Lewis. Why did he have to take a risk twice, first with Kimi, then with Massa...It was sooooo unnecessary!!! If he just kept his cool and didn't do anything silly, he would have finished on the podium, and probably in front of Massa as well. I guess he just doesn't learn from his mistakes....that all being said, he still has the lead in the WDC, and I guess he will win in the end.

Massa deserved that drive through. WHAT THE HELL WAS HE THINKING????
<

I'm talking about the Lewis/Massa incident...but also he took quite a risk with Webber in the end, but I am happy he scored a point. He still has a chance to win the title, if Kimi keeps finishing on the podium (in front of Lewis) and Massa wins the last 2 races, he will be the champ....but.....it's hard to predict anything right now!

Kimi FINALLY scored some points again, I'm happy about that. He could have finished 2nd I think, but it was smart to score some points for the team (now Ferrari is leading the WCC again!!!!). Nice to see him back on the podium, too bad his title fight has really/officially come to an end now. Oh well, there's always next season!
<

Also..well done to Nelson!!

Que grande Alonso!! Totally worth it to wake up at 6:30am!!

It's quite sad the level of the championship contenders, they can hardly do 2 races in a row without a big .... up. I only watch F1 since 99, but since then this must be the lowest level chamion we get.

It would be justice if Kubica won it.

Hamilton was immature today

Massa was reckless

Kimi was mediocre as usual

ALonso was perfect

Once again the FIA make a total joke out of their own sport by inconsistently applying the rules to consistently favour one team. This cannot continue.

F1 is in need of some serious changes now, watch & learn Moto GP.

1. Yeah today, Canada, last season he also messed up. You'd think he would have learned something from last season. He actually said in an interview before the race that the most important thing is to score ''important'' points to win the title. Well, I dunno if he forgot about that during the race, because again he took unnecessary risks. If he continues like this, making silly mistakes/taking unnecessary risks he might end up losing again.

2. Well yeah, this is the Massa WHEN he doesn't start from the front row.
Then suddenly things don't go right, and he looks silly and desperate. I can't believe he drove into Lewis' car. I guess he was trying to be aggressive too, like Lewis himself
<

Massa has done a great job this season, winning races, taking poles, beating Raikkonen! There's just one thing, when he's somewhere behind, or just not on the first row, you can tell he's not good in those circumstances. But hey, the good thing is, he usually starts from P1 or P2, so it's not a big problem..and now with 2 races to go and 5 points behind, he still has a good chance to win the title. We're heading to two tracks where Ferrari should do well.

3. Kimi wasn't great, but at least he scored some valuable points for the team, now Ferrari is leading the WCC again. Raikkonen had a good shot to win today, but when both Mclarens hit him at the start his car wasn't 100% anymore, but good enough to continue. He did a good job today, not great! Some may say he should have won, but if your car isn't working like it should, and you're stuck behind people (because someone didn't leave you any room at the start) then obviously you gonna lose some time. 2nd was maximum today. Too bad he came back on track just behind RK, and later when he tried to overtake, it almost went wrong, the smartest thing to do was make no mistakes and finish on the podium. That's what he did! He has been pretty average this season, not getting the tyres to work properly and because of that always in the hunt instead of being in front. I am still confident he will bounce back in 2009 when the slicks will return.

4. Well of course he was ''perfect''. Like I told you many times before Fernando Alonso is the best driver on the grid, so this result should not be a shock to anyone. He's better than Lewis, but you keep saying Lewis is now the best driver. You know, I think this race showed who's mature and who's not, and also who's better..and that's FA!!!! Lewis probably will win the title still. I think he must have learned from today's mistakes..but then again that's what I said after last season.
Fernando doesn't have the car to win races if the other top guys/teams screw up/suffer problems. Renault did get better though, Nelsinho's result is proof of that as well, and just look at their times. They improved, finally!!! So when the others dont win, he's right there to take the win! Not only because the others fail to win of course, but also because he's a great driver, a smart driver, and like said before, Renault also improved. Great win for the Spaniard!
<

5. FIA is a joke. I can't believe they punished Bourdais!!!! That was so unfair. I do think both Lewis and Massa deserved their penalties! But the Bourdais punishment makes no sense at all, no wonder people think they favour the reds

For sure, IF Lewis didn't make his mistakes, and Kimi wasn't hit by Heikki (I still think that's the reason his car wasn't 100%, but they're still looking into it) Fernando would not have won. It would have been between Kimi and Lewis. Not 100% sure if Felipe would have finished in front of FA to be honest.

If Hamilton fails to be the F1 champion this year, he should blame himself for his unncessary 1st lap incident. He knew that Kimmi is no longer the contender and should have let him go..well what the hell is Hamilton doing anyway losing the pole position. He had done in Singapore and here he did again in Fuji..

IMO in the next two races LH and FM will make more mistakes as both LH and FM are under a lot of pressure and it'll be another surprise if Kubica is crowned as F1 no 1 this year..
<

wait and see..

F1 is exciting!!!!

It is! Honestly!!! But maybe for the wrong reasons.

On a positive note, it has been superb to see Fernando Alonso (as you know, until now not my favourite personality) use his extensive knowledge and experience, combined with pure genius driving ability, to take in my opinion his finest couple of wins. Singapore somewhat fell his way, but he got the job done. At Fuji he was simply awesome.

Also, the emergence of Toro Rosso and it's two quality drivers regularly creeping up the leaderboard.

Also, the sheer stubborness, brilliance and determination of Kubica, again proven with his handling of Kimi's attack at Fuji.

There are other roles playing out in the background, as the supporting cast provide the reality and excitement in an otherwise farcical whodunnit!

I feel as if I am waiting for Detective Ecclestone to step into the room to explain how it came to be that it was Colonel Massa, in the Study, with the dagger!!

We have for some time now discussed the apparent favouritism toward Ferrari when it comes to the rules, and subsequent penalties. Until now, these dubious decisions have only directly negatively affected the main characters, with the supporting cast gratefully picking up the pieces.

.........but now, the drama has turned into a farce, as a totally innocent individual gets accused and penalised just for the sake of the storyline. The reigning US Champion must this morning be wondering what planet he has landed on! The US press will be having a field day today. No wonder they think they have the best 'racing' series.

I hope Toro Rosso, SB, the press, and the public slate this incident. I hope this is the trigger. There can be no doubt that this decision is wrong.

I almost feel sorry for Massa this morning. He is without doubt a brilliant driver. He is without doubt a genuine hot headed racing driver. But how is he going to feel...............................how will he feel if he wins the championship by 1 point? The celebrations will continue, but deep down inside and for the rest of his life, he will know..........................he will know he won it by dubious default. Any racer will tell you that that leaves a bitter taste, and a feeling that you have to go out next time and do the job properly, without favouratism or cheating!

As for Lewis, well he is also a hot headed racer, and has proved it yet again. Maybe he should have made more of an effort to work with Alonso and learn from him after all!

What do I want now? Two more of the same and a Polski World Champion! Please Detective Ecclestone!

Just to add a little perspetive to the FIA's embarassing management yesterday. Replays clearly show that Hamilton didn't touch Kimi going into turn one and that actually it was Kovalinen that forced him off the track. This shouldn't matter anyway because never before have penalties been handed out for going wide into tarmac run-off areas at turn one without incident.

Additionally it turns out that the Bourdais decision is another made agaisnt all the recommendations of the race directer, as Sebastian was following the briefing given quite generously.

I won't be joining you Burky in feeling sorry for Massa, although i don't feel any of this mess is his fault he is quite clearly benefitting significantly from it.

Lets just hope the season can end without the FIA altering anymore races and without an eventual champion who wins at the hands of un-justifiable decisions. I hope if Massa wins its by at least 13 points.

I know that you Tom, like me, are a huge fan of Formula 1, with a good knowledge of the intricacies of the sport which probably enable us to draw more enjoyment from it.

.........and my point is........if we think it's .....!!!!!!!!!

Are you saying that if it was so bad we would stop watching and that in fact we enjoy the controversy, politics and drama?

It's exciting and war in F1. No one really likes LH to defend him and he is surrounded by enemies. Now Alonso wants to revenge the unfinished business and he is happy to do that. What a moron he is but good for the sports....
<
Massa is mad as hell and if he won the F1 champ this year, he should be ashamed of himself for winning the title outside race tracks.

So if LH thinks he cannot win the title in Brazil then give it to Kubica instead of passing to Massa..
<

<span style="font-size:36pt;line-height:100%FIXED

Is the only word for it.

The FIA (Fcukgni InAdequat ) should be ashamed of them selves for this one.

Very exciting race. Looking forward to the last two too. If I had to bet, I'd put my money on Massa, I just have a gut feeling that Hamilton will screw up again.

I can't believe that Bourdais was penalized... IT WAS A COMPLETELY ...... UP DECISION! Do those idiots even watch the replays?! Seriously, Bourdais went as inside as possible there, totally ...... up.

Yeah, unfortunately. He is a gifted, natural talent, but boy is he behaving like a child who had his toys taken away.
Seriously getting sick of this years championship. What with the FIA handing out penalties like sweets, and the two top (?) drivers cocking it up at every possible point. This year is turning out to be one to forget IMO.

bring on 2009!

I miss Schumi in F1.
We had good races when he was there particularly in 2006 (though there were controversies then)
