Seriously, sometimes they edit it in early and the team manager (in this case uncle Ron) comes on the radio warns the river they are about to do the TV bit, goes off and then starts again "oh well done, we are all so gracious and delighted" It's so stale.

am serious too when i said i commend him for being a convincing voice actor...because not everyone can do that, and he does it good from what i can tell. he could consider being a voice talent when the stress of F1 becomes too much...of the fines cost too much for that matter

If had the misfortune of seing that race, one of the most frustrating ever for me. F@#$%^ Hamilton won, and I can't even put any excuse cause he did it brilliantly despite McLAren ...... up his strategy. It seems he might win the championship, the car is quick, he is quick, Heikki has assumed the position of num2.
<

I have nothing against Piquet but I was really pissed to see him 2nd, the guy sucks, qualifies 17th and out of 67 laps he pits just right before the SC and the SC stays long enough to make him reach the end and bang second. He's been sucking all season except one race and he doesn't deserve this luck.
<

Massa, well nothing new, we already knew he sucks, he was such a wimp in the fight with Lewis, he couldn't have defended his position any worse than he did.
<

FA 11th, so much fighting for naught.
<

The only good thing is that next GP will be better ... cause it can't get any worse

Poor Teo, it must be hard being a Lewis hater and a Alonso fanboy at this time.

Can't get any worse? The Hungaroring is next! Snorefest city.

Damn Piquet sucks ... by the way.

It was a brilliant race, some good action and drama with the safety car and Lewis' overtakes on the last few laps. Nelson Piquet was incredibly lucky of course, but it did provide a bit of a change. So no matter how biased you are, I don't know how you can saw it was a bad race

Well it seemed like that, lol. Either way, you'll be happy with F1 next year if Alonso gets a Ferrari drive. They should get him signed up straight away and chuck Massa out. If Fernando got that drive, he'd win the title with ease IMO.

Yea i'm a little disappointed how Alonso was handled... F1 is boring enough without the best driver not having a winning car.

It was all a ploy to help Lewis win the championship.

I did, but with 2 other forums for which I talk F1 about, it is hard saying the same thing 3 times. I am here for the MotoGP coverage, not the 4 wheel action.

Heikki renews his contract with McLaren for 2009. Despite the lack of results with respect to Hamilton (just one podium) I think when Kova moved out of LH's way in the last race and assumed the n2 position he automatically earned his contract extension.

I just wish he'd get out of that team, he's been held back no doubt about it, perhaps a different team will allow him to give it his all.

I don't know, he says he's extremely happy at Mclaren and there really isn't any better team out there for him. Mclaren also like him, cause he isn't arrogant and is willing to team-play when necessary. He's also fast and I'm sure he will have his chance sooner or later too. This season will propably go supporting Hamilton, but we'll see what happens next year.

That was a pretty exciting race, and finally I have something to be happy about.

Bad luck for Massa.
Kova didn´t deserve it today, but he's been unlucky during the season so it´s OK, he did well.
Glock was great all weekend! Damm Toyotas are quick!!
Kimi was aslept the whole weekend except the last stint ... Massa owned him ... somethimes I think Kimi lost the will to drive after becoming champion, is he already thinking in retirement (aka rallying)?

Alonso did as much as he could. I'm proud, it feels so nice to end up ahead of LH. It's like the natural order of things restored.

however, i would have enjoyed it more if hammie ended up outside the points, damn, so lucky and so good

as for kimi, he's been having a tough season, tougher because he's the defending champion. i believe him when he says he'll see through the contract he made with ferrari, so hopefully he's still with the team next year. he's just 5 points adrift of hammie, the causes of which are sometimes not from his part. so imagine the points standings if he's been really motivated the whole season.

Kimi wasn't asleep in the race. he was simply stuck behind Alonso and it's nearly impossible to overtake at Hungaroring. He could have passed Alonso on the first stops, but I think it was Vettel who blocked him just enough for Alonso to keep the lead. If he had got through Alonso, he could have beaten Glock too. Kovi and Glock did a great job though.

Nelson-Piquet is seriously starting to deliver though. He got on points again. Maybe he is seriously answering to the critcism now.

Red Bull was disapointing. So was BMW. Team of the day was definetly Toyota.

I thought Massa would win, and that Lewis would finish second. They both had their own problem, which costed them some points, especially Massa!! It must suck to lose out like that!! That's racing though. These things happen. Heikki obviously wouldn't have won the race under normal circumstances, but he did a good job, so it was nice to see him win. He has been doing a good job this season, but he has had so many unlucky moments this year, so to finally win a race is maybe just what he needed! Maybe more wins will follow..??

Kimi was disappointing almost ALL weekend. He already made a mistake in quali, and that resulted in a 6th place on the starting grid, then Alonso gained a place at the start, so he was stuck behind him for a long time. I'm not sure if I can really blame Kimi for being stuck behind him though, it's a well known fact that it's almost impossible to overtake at the Hungaroring. He showed his true potential in the last stint. It got exciting when he closed the gap to Glock, but then he had to slow down, not sure it would have mattered much though. In the end I'm happy he finished 3rd, because he moved up a place in the WDC, and he decreased the gap towards Hamilton.

Great to see Nelson score points again!!
<

I knew he would start doing a good job at some point, it just took him a bit longer than expected.

Can't wait for Valencia

He needed a punctured tyre from Hamilton to have that chace!
