I'm just stating that, don't bite the messenger.

Back to F1, talk. Kimi did something he probably regrets, but sometimes that kind of stuff needs to be done.

How many of you see Red Bull being a race winner next season? Adrian Newey was amazing in car developement in the years before these apendages, and with 2009 rules getting ride of those, could we see Webber or his teammate taking a win?

I have limited faith in Webber, but if Vettel or Alonso are driving next years car i can see it being a reality.

I agree. I think the driver roster is what Red Bull will have to have to win.

Still unsure about Vettel. He is very fast, but he is still very young.

Alonso and a car that can win, will.

Depends on what Red Bull does with STR. If Red Bull takes their focus from it, Vettel will be in a Red Bull Racing machine, but if they are running like thy are this year, it will be Alonso in the second RBR car with Webber.

The n in 2010 you have Vettel and Alonso, you could have a legit shot at a title by a privateer team since Williams in 2003.

There are radical changes in aero rules for next season, there could be a big shuffle in the picking order. We'll see what's the order next season. Still I don't think Red Bull will be winning races next year (unless there's a wacky rainy race or something abnormal) they have the handicap of the Renault engine which is not up to par with the others and their don't have the budget of the top 2 teams.
I'm hoping the new rules will make the driver input more important.

Like putting everyone on the same car
<

no actually I meant reducing downforce so cars can get closer to each other to attempt overtaking.

Actually I'm against some of the rules taken to "unify" the category like freezing the engines and banning pretty much every ingenius development they creat.

Well I've only watched F1 since 1999 so I can only say he is the only to have done it ... during the last 10 years.

there's a certain montoya...i forgot the name

... and that's worse than this one, coz at least kimi saw something he didn't like hence the pushing incident. but JPM (from his sheer genius) bumped into the camera and the cameraman, and he had the nerve to get angry...genius i tell you
<

Oh that was really funny, though Monty didn't push the guy, he insulted him "you fockin' ..... you broke my head" ow that was so funny but yeah, Monty isn't exactly what you would call a classy driver either hehe.
Monty meets cameraman

Still I don't think pushing is any better than insulting.

i wasn't defending kimi by saying that pushing is better than insulting. what i'm saying is, at least kimi has a good reason for the push: he saw or he thought he saw the man stepping on his stuff, while jpm was stupid enough to walk into the cameraman then get angry after

I don't know about anyone else but i'd say verbal abuse is relatively harmless and forgivable compared to physical attacks. But i'm a peace lover

Well you can kinda see why he's mad (other than short man syndrome). As a star of the show you would expect people to show him some respect, including getting out of his way when he tries to go from A - B in a paddock full of people trying to swarm him.

1. agree

2. if teo and i are talking about the same incident (can't be arsed to view the vid right now), i remember that the cameraman didn't see jpm coz he was filming something inside the (ferrari?) booth, then bam! jpm bumped into him, and he got yelled at after.

edit: saw the vid...and yes, we are talking of the same incident.

Well we don't actually see the impact, so it is possible that they actually walk into each other. It was definitely a massive over reaction, but so was Kimi's.

Does anybody here still watch F1? We were treated to an excellent German GP. Mclaren seem to have done the work to overturn Ferrari and Lewis is on a roll and making it count. The safetey car almost changed everything, but with a second a lap advantage, passing is possible and Lewis won a thrilling on track race. Piquet looks like he's saved himself with mature driving and Heidfeld again was had a strong race head. The rest were average. Disappointment of the year that Kovalinen is so far behind hes already moving over for Lewis, but if Hamilton keeps driving like this the world title will be his.
