Spa isn't anytime soon. Still like 10 weeks or so (september 7th).
I can't wait for Spa, hopefully Raikkonen will win there AGAIN!!

Well, I was a bit shocked when Lewis got that drive through penalty actually. Didn't see it coming, but I guess he did gain some advantage, so the penalty was deserved. He should have let Vettel overtake him after he gained that position.

Ferrari pace was so much for Toyota and Renault to follow..Half way I switched to 250 race and I didn't see why Hamilton got penalty
<

Miss incident fill Canada GP, though there were a few interesting overtaking at mid pack..
<

I know!! I was like ''wow dude, how can you be that happy if you only won because your teammate had a problem''
<
But..I guess he's just happy that he's leading the WDC now, which is understandable.

Didn't see the race but Hamilton is becoming a bit of a whiner, and in the process turning off a lot of fans.

The media seems to be getting to him a bit recently, and it is affecting his driving. This weekend he was not impressive. I'm hoping that Lewis can make a transition at this point, he's been the media golden boy for a wile now but i hope he lets that go and just talks straight from now on. If the results come the fans will follow regardless of how much he smiles, how good he is at PR or what attitude he has.

I guess it's also difficult for him. The press, especially in England, are suddenly shooting him down. He was the king last season, well kind of. And now all of a sudden he's the target. Ok, he made some mistakes this season, but it can happen. He does sometimes sound a bit arrogant I'd have to say. Maybe it's just confidence, if that's the case, then it's a good thing. He promised the British fans the title this season, so he better deliver. Or else the press will only become more negative.

I think you nailed it. Often, confidence can easily appear as arrogance. Sometimes this fades with maturity, sometimes not.

Not defending him, mind you. I imagine that at their level if they don't feel that they're the best, they don't perform to the best of their abilities.

Also, I haven't finished going through this thread, but has there been any mention of how the camera angle gave the impression that Hamilton could have hit Kubica but chose to hit Raikkonen instead? Or did he hope to go around them both?

I know you're not defending him. I actually like Hamilton, and I was so impressed by his performance last season. I already liked him when he drove the GP2 series. That bloke is really talented, and I think he is definitely a future champ.

Yeah, Lewis could have hit Kubica instead of Kimi. I also saw that when they replayed it, but I don't think it was deliberate or anything like that. It was a very stupid error though. I couldn't believe someone actually would/could drive into another car in the pitlane when the red lights are on and the other driver stopped
<

Weird...but mistakes can be made I guess. As a Raikkonen fan I was pretty angry at that moment, but like I said before, it can happen. I just thought it was weird when he talked about the whole incident like it was nothing, and that it was ''silly'' that he got punished.

Easily Hamilton should have been the champion last year if not for his careless mistakes, bad strategy in China GP(whose fault-Hamilton or McLaren ?) and McLaren Hu hah..I was quite pity him. Last year was a run away season for him and he is leading the championship till somewhere before GP of China, and Kimi was still new with Ferrari team and adjusting to the car
<
This year? It would be quite a challenge for Hamilton as Kimi is " already at home" with Ferrari and Massa is doing fine plus Kubica.

Though as much as like to see Hamilton win the championship this year and we are yet to reach mid-season, my money wouldn't be on him this year with his attitude ..

was thinking the same thing...but i can understand if hammie did it on purpose, after all, kimi is his strongest rival.

I prefer to believe LH just swerved instintively, I already hate the guy enough as it is now.

I can't believe I want MAssa to win now, that moron doesn't deserve to be on the grid! But I hate the other 2 so much ...

Thinking about Massa winning reminds me when I used to wish Barrichello would win.

I really think this is the best since 2003. You have three teams with legit shots of winning week in and week out in BMW, Ferrari, and McLaren. Nearly every team has a shot at scoring points. Great drivers on top teams and small teams (Fisi and Bourdais). Great races (Monaco/Melbourne). Lewis Hamilton is making mistakes (yeah!) and not running away like I thought. Massa and Raikonen look like Prost and Senna at McLaren. Both are number one drivers. Coulthard on the podium. BMW winning. Peter Sauber winning. Williams on the podium.

Open wheel racing in North America might be nonexistant, but F1 has done very well to fill the gap. Now there needs an North American driver (can I say James Hinchcliffe or Robert Wickens?)

Damn, F1 is looking just as good as MotoGP this year.

Yeah, I agree!!
F1 is exciting because we've had different winners this season, and the championship is really tight, everything's so close together. That's a bit weird, because Ferrari is the team to beat, and you'd think they would be far on top by now. They had some unfortunate races this season, and sometimes the drivers scrwed up.

I can't wait for up coming weekend!! Hopefully Silverstone will be exciting, and hopefully Raikkonen will win!! He should have won last race, but luckily he scored 8 points still.
I'm really curious about Lewis' performance!

anyone saw the provisional 2009 calendar? damn...19 races is just too much. i won't be surprised if they make an all-year round affair

Yeah, saw it!
Well, I'm not complaining, if it was up to me they'd have 20 races or more!!!

The more the better!! I'm happy Spa is still on the calendar, I HAVE to go next year!!!!!

me thinking of the drivers...well, yeah, i would love to have more races as my life's a dull without the races, but adding more to the calendar to me is not really a great relief as it doesn't really affect me. now, if they put MORE asian races (and i'm not talking about qatar coz that's still expensive for me), that would be absolutely brilliant!

and i WANT to go to spa next year! hope i CAN

Yeah, for the drivers too many GP's won't be good.

I wish they'd still race at Zandvoort!!!! But Spa isn't that far at all for me, so I just have to go next time. Would be great if you could come too

We could cheer for Raikkonen together

Yer just read it too - cant imagine seeing F1 at donny again after watching bikes there for so long!

This pissed me off, they will probbaly roll out a multi-million development plan for donny to accomodate fnone fans, when us bikers have had to put up with ..... faciliates for years...............and then motoGP will move to Silverstone imo!!
