<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Franco Fangio @ Mar 21 2008, 01:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Ferrari already had a good pace in Australia actually, it just didn't show because they had some problems. Again they had some problems!! Kimi had the same problem he had in last week's quali, but it's fixed now, it was some communication problem. Something to do with the fuel pump?? At least that's what I read. I hope they wont have any problems tomorrow, then they should be able to qualify in the top 5. McLaren will be strong again, Lewis was fastest, but I think Ferrari could have gone faster as well. It's hard to say.

Good to see Honda do well!!! I really hope they can keep it up
<

Alonso also had some problems I read. It doesn't look too promising for Renault. Guess we'll find out tomorrow in quali.

Officially Kimi's car ran out fuel .... if you wish to believe it ... IMO still they have electronic issues, maybe due to the McLaren ECU?? Who knows hehe

Alonso had a problem with the gearbox, he lost 2nd gear, they kept running to get info until the gearbox completely broke down. Slow and unreliable ...

I really hope it rains!!!

OK, I'm going to try and learn and "appreciate" F1. Be prepared for a scathing critique on its merits.

I'd rather you just ...... off, to be honest.

Promising result for Honda (and that guy inside the car) even though we know it wont last. The times looked to be all mixed up throughout, i think its nice to see the cars not coming in two by two in every session. Ferrari looks to be in the right area, but still having glitches they don't need and still slower than Hamilton. Hopefully another exciting race, but i'm hoping more cars work this weekend. So far it doesn't look too promising, Webbers had an engine die already, Ferrari can't even re-fuel cars properley and DC's chin is so sharp its breaking his suspension wishbones!!

You'll probably find that the F1 fans around here are more than aware of the problems F1 has and i doubt any of us are completely happy with the way things currently are.

Can i ask how much F1 coverage you actually watch? You are in hear surprisingly often with your opinions (which is great) but i'd be interested to know if you set time aside to watch the coverage or just pick up the gist of it on the news or something?

If you wanna get mad about people who don't like F1, check out the comments one of our government people said about the BBC F1 deal. He thinks the money would be better spent on "real sports"

Plenty of people watch it......mesmorised by how 'exciting' it is!!! - I may hang .... on it, but this is a website about motoGP mostly......it's changed it's name...but we know the reason why. I don't know what to believe to be honest. I HOPE the car ran out of fuel!! I'm remaining optimistic. So I'm expecting a Mclaren (Lewis) - Ferrari (Kimi) battle for the win. I guess it's too early to say that..let's wait for quali.

So he can crash out even earlier???

I really hope Renault will improve soon, I feel a bit sorry for Alonso. It seems Renault just doesn't have the pace, and there's so much you can do as a driver.

That's just it, we don't need to convince you. Why would we want to do that?
So you don't like F1, well that's ok too. We don't need to agree on everything. I do think Moto is more exciting to watch, but I always loved F1, and that won't change. Am I happy about how everything is run?? No, but I can't change that. I don't think you need to ''.... off''. I think that was a harsh comment by Orrmate. You should do whatever you think is right.

Well F1 is far more popular, in actual fact motogp wishes it was a sport near F1 but it isn't

the site was created for motogp fans to have a place to discuss and express their passion for the sport. but aside from that, the need to address other motorsports is still present and apparent, hence, the site was divided to sub-forum so that we won't need to go elsewhere.

in light of that, we ask you to respect members who are into this sport as much as we respect your posts about motogp or other stuffs that you wish to discuss.

nobody dragged you into this thread and forced you to discuss F1.

on with the F1 and F1-related topics, shall we?

Well Tom? Is this your argument? Ok then....take your argument to the F1 forums and have fun! I'd comment on your statement but why would I bother?
BTW - who in motoGP wishes it to be like F1? Name them so we can all pour scorn on them! If motoGp gets anywhere near F1 I won't watch along with millions of other fans. Call me naive - but you've all been blinded by the F1 circus for so long you are blind.

Please do bother. What do you consider a fair way to judge the relative merrits of two different sports? I would suggest that the number of people who follow the sport is the only truly fair assesment which is why i consider F1 to be a better sport than Motogp, although i do love both.

As for motogp trying to be like F1. There are discussions of control tyres, control ECU's there is talk of seperating the motogp paddock from the other classes to make it more exclusive. I have even heard suggestions that the smaller classes should be stripped of their world championship status to add focus and prestiege to the premier class. All of these proposals would mimmick arrangements already made in F1 (the bigger sport remember) and i don't think its a coincedence. What do you reckon?

I'll respect other people's comments on this site - but I won't let their comments go unchallenged. I haven't abused anyone or their religion/.../politics - but I reserve the right to comment on any thread on this forum. Get over it!

I wish you would let our sport go unnoticed. All you've done while you've been in this thread is troll. I really can't understand why you waste your time doing it, as I can guarantee noone on this thread gives a toss about what you think about F1. Do you really think that what you say is going to change any of our opinions? As Tom has already said, we are well aware of the problems that F1 is facing. We don't need you to tell us.

I saw your 'convince me' comment after the Aussie GP, too. Let me assure you, I've got better things to do than try and convince someone who is clearly set in their views that they should change them. Noone here was ever trying to convince you of anything. Where you've got this notion from is entirely beyond me.

I'm a MotoGP fan as well as an F1 fan, and I suppose this is where we differ. I wholeheartedly respect the challenges that riders face. I also understand the challenges F1 drivers face. I respect both. Clearly, you are ignorant to the physical and mental challenges a Formula One driver faces. That's fine. But for god sake, stop this attention seeking charade that you have been performing. If you don't like it, don't watch. It's as simple as that.
