Final predictions and thoughts for 08

1. Who will win the 2008 Championship? My heart says Rossi, but right now it looks like Stoner will be the man to beat. Stoner 08 Champ and thereby confirming he is the new King. (Rossi, runner up)
2. Who will be rookie of the year? Dovi will shine if the material is good enough Lorentho (as much as I don’t like him) runner up rookie.
4. What brand will win the constructors title? Yamaha ( thanks to Melandri)
7. What Satellite team will have best showing? LCR OR JiR Team Scott will both have better results than Gresini and Tech3 on average. But they both might be above on the results thanks to the sum of two riders.
10. What rider will crash the most? Toss up between Elias and Lorentho
14. Who will win Indy (new track)? Rossi

Final thoughts: I hope we have close racing (at least as good as WSBK) and that nobody get seriously injured. I hope equipment failures and scud-missile-riders don’t decide any outcomes. I hope Rossi wins the title. (What can I say; I’m a mindless Rossi cheerleader fan.) Bring it on!

15. What will we complain about next year? Take your pick: tires, engine, rider comments, rules, technology, lack of close racing, ect., ect. All of the above.

10. Crash ..... Westy or Rossi .... I really think the Bridgestones aren't going to work out for Rossi, and its a big change of a critical part of the equation for a year with such "hotshots" running. So he may get too "gung Ho" Westy .... he will have to get "gung Ho" ....

9. What rider will be the biggest disappointment? Rossi (I dont see him winning this year and whenever that hapens it equals a disappointment)

Final thoughts: Another season of Stoner dominance, while everyone blames it on the bike, Rossi comes a closer second this year though. Hopefully Hopkins will get a win (in america) and edwards will be back for more. But most of all I hope for more fans in America so this great sport can grow and destory my nemesis NASCAR!!!!

wow huge change in sentiments here. now stoners proved he is the real deal? hmmmm he only had to win the championship by 100+ points to do so eh.

1. Who will win the 2008 Championship? Got to be either Stoner, Rossi or Pedrosa. And if the Honda is back on form then I believe that Pedro will just squeeze it but its going to be close.
2. Who will be rookie of the year? Lorenzo or Dovi depending on what sort of season Jorge has. If he has a season similar to his rookie season in 250cc in 2005 then Dovi will be rookie of the year.
3. Who will be the most improved rider from 07? Probably Nicky or RDP.
4. What brand will win the constructors title? Honda, if they've sorted things out fully, Ducati if not.
5. What brand will come last in constructors title? Suzuki or Yamaha
6. What brand of tire will be most successful? Michelin to turn things round and haunt Rossi for it.
7. What Satellite team will have best showing? JiR Scot Honda
8. What rider(s) will have his first premier class win? Lorenzo, Dovi and Hopper

Final thoughts: I'm predicting another 06 style season with close racing and nearly every rider in the paddock being a competitive force at one round or another. All Spaniards to shine and Edwards to have an awful season.

Final thoughts: I reckon its gonna be a good season with a fair few battles, Rossi is gonna show everyone just why he's the best(he'll be kept honest by Stoner though) and Marco's gonna come good in the 2nd half of the season.

Final thoughts: It will be much closer than last year. We will have many more exciting races, but Casey will assert his dominance in a few races, giving us a '07 repeat'.

Do you really think that Spies could win on a level playing field motogp guys, first time out, with a suzuki? Thats a very brave call

1. I'll go out on a limb and say Rossi will come back this year. I'd obviously prefer Capi, though.

3. Guintoli.
4. Despite the competition, I think it'll be Yamaha. Close, though.
5. Kawasaki (they need a privateer team).
6. The Bridgestones.
7. I'd like to say LCR, following RDP's move, but Tech 3's line-up looks the most promising, so that.
8. RDP, Lorenzo and just possibly Toseland.

Final thoughts: New riders coming up from lower categories are always unpredictable, so I may expect some surprise performances from de Angelis, and I certainly expect Lorenzo and Toseland to be high-tier contenders. Looking forward to the new circuit at Indy, just so long as they use a part of the speedway!

Final thoughts: Good close racing. Rookies mixing at the front. Dicing without incident. No mechanical DNF's, no tyre ........, fastest guy wins i.e. no slowing down because no one else can keep up.
